Love the one piece v-neck romper you made. Very creative use of the lettuce hem-which looks good on you. And, sounds like your mending basket is empty-celebrate that accomplishment! Thanks for sharing and the pattern recommendations, that’s always helpful.
Congrats on the return of the machines. Why does it always take so long. Make lemonade from lemons with improvisation and creativity. Great new clothes and rescued existing ones.
Congratulations on making some lovely garments on your serger and clearing out your mending basket. The lettuce hems look great and are probably a method that we forget about. ❤
Sara, you are so inspiring! I just love your channel. Kudos in doing all the repairs and alterations. I don't know about you, but doing alterations and repairs is something I'm never eager to do, but once done, leave me with a nice feeling of accomplishment. The scallop hem on your romper (and t shirt) looks great; the romper color suits you perfectly. Take care.
thank you! Yes i have always avoided doing repairs in the past (hence the overflowing basket of stuff) but i've found that making it part of my monthly routine has helped make the process less unappealing.
Oh, I should send my sewing machine away to camp for the summer and then maybe I'd get things fixed like you did! The romper is so cute and the color is refreshing - I think the lettuce edge on the sleeve looks good, too - it adds something fun.
The lettuce hems are working fabulously for you!
thanks! it was fun to do something different.
The colour of your jumpsuit is my all time favourite colour. It looks beautiful. 😊 and the grey outfit is soo chic. I love it.
thank you for watching!
I know the Protea pants aren't the focus of the video but they look so good on you, especially paired with the slim fit t-shirt.
thanks. i definitely want to sew a lighter weight pair for summer.

thank you, but the basket is definitely not empty! i only got out the ones that i could fix without a machine.
Makers are resourceful!! Congrats on the pieces you made. 🎉🎉 Insightful and reflective as always. Thank you for sharing!!
so glad you enjoyed it!

thanks! it's not fun to wait but it takes as long as it takes. hopefully i won't need to take them in again for a long while.

i think the only time before this that i used a lettuce edge was when i was too lazy to finish my hems some other way. 🤣
Love that you got so much mending done last month. Must feel amazing! I really like both the playsuit and the tee. Great makes!
It does feel great! i'm hoping to tackle more of it this month as well.
Love your sirrocho romper. The colour and style are beautiful on you
Thank you so much!
Your grey outfit looks fab!
thank you!
Love you in the outfit with grey wide leg slacks. Looks super sofisticated.
thanks!

How lovely that you made items with your serger! I would have just wallowed in sadness!😂
where there's a will, there's a way!

i wouldn't recommend it. 🤣
Love your videos. One of the photos you are wearing a dress overall with a T-shirt under it. What is the pattern please it is very nice. TIA
I like this as well! Would love to make a similar outfit myself.
do you mean the black floral dress? it's the helen's closet reynolds.
