Hiking the Monk's Trail in Chiang Mai

The Monks Trail (Wat Pha Lad nature trail) in Chiang Mai is a hike of about 2 kilometers and an elevation of 1.073 meters.
The trail leads up to the Buddhist temple Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a temple that is very sacred to many Thai people. Besides the religious importance, it is a very beautiful temple (with a stunning view of Chiang Mai).
The day I did the hike, it was 39 degrees (102 Fahrenheit), which made it extremely hot and strenuous. Make sure you bring lots of water!
If you are not keen on hiking, there is a normal road for cars, taxi etc.

The sweat is real! When we did it we had stinking hot weather on the way up, then torrential rain at the top! Yours looks much more pleasant.
