Welcome to my channel, The World and Alex.
My name is Alex, and in December of 2023, I quit my job, sold my apartment and all my belongings to pursuit a lifelong dream of traveling full time.
The idea of traveling solo, as a middle-aged man, is both exciting and daunting, so I decided to bring my camera, and document my experiences. Not only to share my journey but also in the hopes of showing how amazing and wonderful traveling and the world truly is. 🌍
My goal is to visit the traditional sights as well as the lesser-known places - on a budget - and do some volunteer work with animals whenever possible.

Best and Stunning Views in Bangkok
Bangkok has a staggering amount of skyscrapers and hence amazing viewpoints. At the King Power Mahanakhon, you can do a skywalk which is the highest observation deck in Thailand. You get a 360-degree view of Bangkok, and if you have the nerves, you can walk on the glass floor and look directly 314 meters down to the street. Ticket price from 880 baht ($24).
Right next to the Skywalk, you can opt for a more budget friendly option and go to the Arabica café which is located at the 55th floor of the Empire Tower. It is free and you still get an impressive view of the city.
If you prefer to stay lower, you can take the Hop-on-hop-off ferry and cruise down the river where you get to see much of the city for only 30 baht.

The sweat is real! When we did it we had stinking hot weather on the way up, then torrential rain at the top! Yours looks much more pleasant.
