Unboxing my new Align Trex 500X Helicopter kit, hopefully it will give a little bit of an insight into whats involved in building one of these Align Helie's.

The Trex 470 is a nice kit to put together!! It's worth taking your time with the build, it pays dividends to build them properly!! Becareful with the manual as I think if I remember correctly there are a couple of mistakes with the sizes of the servo linkage rods that go to the swash plate!! Ian there's no better feeling than when you receive and then unbox all your shiny new Heli or Plane mate! I often just look at the servos, ESC, different parts, purely for their aesthetic beauty! lol. So exciting! We're like a kid at christmas mate! lol. I actually bought and built almost exact same Heli in circa 2018, the Align Trex 500E, I absolutely adored that machine! Great vid Ian and Cheryl! Thanks as always my friend! Wes, Liverpool UK.

So sorry for commenting again Ian, I just wondering, have you any idea why the 500X has such bigger blades than it's 500E cousin ?? Those main blades look HUGE!!?? And it's running a 1600kv motor, which to my knowledge is same kv rating as the original 500E ?? Same 6S Lipo power too mate ?? Don't you think thats odd Ian ? Or what am I missing ? ( knowing dopey me, it'll likely be something patently obvious!? LOL ) Wes, Liverpool UK.

Yes it's slightly different to the 500E and a lot bigger, but basically the same Heli, thanks for watching and commenting 😀👍

I brought my kit 3 weeks ago and its still in the box. I need to find time to build it and not rush it.

Have you noticed a that Helis and quads get used more when the colder months come, you do it, i do it and ive noticed many others do.......
I find a Heli easier to fly in wind than a plane!! Why do you think they are flown more Steve?

No idea Wes I think the bigger rotor disc just makes the Heli more stable 😀👍
