Someone ordered the incorrect width slide topper on that front one for sure. I agree about the putty tape, but when I installed toppers years ago on my last 5er, the instructions did say to use butyl tape. Knowing what I know nowadays, I wouldn't.
The toppers are too long. Regardless, it looks like the bottom bracket is pulling out. Mine came with self tapping screws that didn't grip. I removed them and used a larger screw to be sure the bracket wouldn't pull out.
We will be removing the topper soon, shorting the tube, fabric and correcting reinstalling it. As well as taking care of the mounts, soon as we do it will get the video up. The RV dealership techs definitely didn’t know what they were doing.
