Love your latest adventure. I grew up in Auckland and spent many weekends on the coromandel peninsula as a teenager. If you get the chance I my personal choice for the most beautiful place in Coromandel is the Kauaeranga Valley. It is just below Thames and it is an old gold mining and logging valley. The road goes to the Pinnacles an is an awe inspiring place. When I was a teenager the road had a gate on it and was very rough now the is a sealed road and a beautiful visitors centre. In my not so humble opinion one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand.

So glad that you found a hot spot on Hot Water Beach. We didn't & neither did anyone else on the day we were there, so pleased to know it wasn't just a tourist trap. Cathedral Cove beach was jammed with people for us. Bringing back some fantastic memories for us, thank you.
I'm there right now and had so much hot water it just about burnt our feet. You need to know the spots to dig. there are two areas the large rocks in the sea just out from Nicky and Jason mark one area and about twenty meters south of that spot is another.
Looks Great. Also the next time your going to park a car. Make sure that your paying attention to the lower part of the front bumper when getting close to the curb (TS) 6:41 & so on. People destroy the lower part of the front bumper all the time by not paying attention or distracted.

I love hot water beach and cathedral cove! 😍 For anyone interested, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was filmed at cathedral cove. Well, at least the first scene when the children arrive in Narnia. They step out from under the cove.
You piqued my Curiosity so I looked online and found out that if you dug a hole straight through the Earth to the other side of the planet from almost anywhere in the US, Canada or Mexico, you'd end up in the ocean between Africa and Australia. In fact, dig a hole through the Earth from dry land anywhere on Earth and chances are you'll end up in the water so be sure to wear your bathing suit, and bring along Curiosity.
Ahh walking down memory lane with you guys. These places were my old haunts although we boated around to cathedral cove from Hahei and would do hot water beach at sunset. The cold water rushing in to refresh when it was getting a little too hot in the communal pool we dug. Just so unique.
This is so cool! I spent all of my school holidays here for about ten years (have seen my grandparents old house in your videos), its like reliving memories and I can't wait till I can go back myself. At the waterfall you went to, my brother and I always pretended there were eels to scare all the kids away if there were too many people in the swimming hole.
Ahhhh what an ahhhhsome & WONDERfilled day exploring & experiencing more of New Zealand's Coromandel!!💚💙 From the jungle drive🌴🌿, to the classic dream waterfall🏞, to the coolest community experience of making hot soaking pools on the beach🏖, to the romantic beach with the epic cathedral rock🌊 and then to the carrot cake🍰! After ALL the boat chores and no free diving, we are so glad you could enjoy a day like this because we know from our experiences that these days don't happen all that often, though when they do, you just want to soak in EVERY moment of it because it's soooooo magical and all you have been dreaming of while you were doing all those boat & life chores...
