Fell in love with your channel around the time you transisioned from RV to Sailboat. My wife and I have watched you learn to sail, complete tons of boat projects, and explore the world with such an uplifting attitude! We're excited to see your transition to the new boat and continue exploring the world!
It took me 15 fsys from day zero to seroconvert back to negative...don't know if it was just me but I am hearing 10 to 15 days... just info to think about in your travel planning...
I just wanted to take a few minutes to encourage you not to leave anything behind. I sincerely hope that everything you shared together stays with you. It may be a mug or a towel. If your love was shared toward each other with whatever possession you shared just save it. Packing is always prioritizing what you want and don't want to carry with you. I love you two and I hope that you don't throw away a memory you can both cherish together or apart from each other. I am happy you are not suffering to much with carona sars 2 . Your adventures are a treasure with lots of respect and you two are a real joy . Please take care of yourselves for us dreamers who love you and cherish you. God Bless you always and thank you !
It is so interesting watching the two of you work and live together. There seems to be a natural flow back and forth as you share the work and do things together. I’m sure it’s probably not always smooth but It looks like all that time together has built a strong partnership.
I agree. I think its because they have always been best friends first and then fell in love...and they will always be best friends . Passions can come and go but true love and friendships are rare.
My 3 children and I were live aboards in SWFL (FM area) for several years while going through a divorce and they were in elementary school. It was so fun and immersive, and walking down the dock to our 2-story barge boat, passing otters and crabs, we left the unpleasantness of land-life behind. It was wonderful and impossible to be depressed for all of nature all around us. I love your videos as they remind us of a special time in our lives. I'm excited to learn about your next boat (hopefully a cat) and future travels. Thank you for your excellent film work and for letting us be a part of it.
I'm so happy for you guys. With the level of care in which you treated and maintained Curiosity the new owners will be sailing one of the nicest of the type out there. And for that effort you deserve the best of luck on the new boat and I'm so looking forward to seeing your new home. You traveled, locked down and were stranded during the worst of the pandemic and of all places to catch covid you did it in New Zealand thats epic. I'm glad your feeling better Thanks for taking us along.
What an amazing adventure on your 1st boat. It's been a blast living vicariously through you guys as you travel the world, meet all sorts of amazing people, and exploring places most of us will never get to see. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of it all. Can't wait to see the new boat and what adventures lie ahead.
It's good to see that you are both recovering from C-19 and can navigate around the marina. Congratulations on selling your boat and on moving forward with your plans for a new home. We aren't moving as fast as you are and even though the home sold on May 16th, we still haven't been able to leave the area due to weather and medical appointments impacting our timeline to get the storage units reduced from six to 3 or 4 at the most. Once that's done, we will be hitting the road in our Fifth Wheel for a National Park tour over the next couple of years. Take care and get well and I can't wait to see what your next boat looks like.
Jason and Nikki, it's difficult to explain how much joy you bring to my life. I could say a hundred nice things but I would just be repeating what others have already said. So to let you know what you mean to me, I'll let you know that there are two things I wish for. One is being with Christ when my time here is over. The other would having your attitude. Everything else would be gravy. Even having my own boat doesn't even come close to the smile you put on my face just watching to two of you. I'll close with that thought. See ya down the road. Semper Fi!
Hubby and I have had Covid the past week. As your video started and I’m sitting here with such strong body aches and pains, waiting for the ibuprofen to kick in, I thought…it’s so good you guys never seem to get sick! I wouldn’t be able to mange any of the boat stuff the way I’m feeling! And then you share!! So sorry!
Sharing your lives is such a privilege. You have shown me much of the world it is only possible to experience from a boat. I feel like the two of you are personal friends or even family, though we have never met. It is easy for me to understand how leaving Curiosity has to be a bittersweet experience. I am so glad you are transitioning to another boat and look forward to continuing to live vicariously through the two of you! Nikki, get well, stay safe and keep those videos coming!
Seriously, you guys have been thru so much. Congrats on your offer. I just love your positive attitude as you work thru all the boat challenges. We are in PA with our Lil IP35 in mD as we refit her for our next Caribbean season. Congrats to you two.
Can totally relate to trying to condense your life into a few suitcases. When my husband and I moved from the Carribean to the west coast of Canada, we went from having an apartment full of stuff down to 2 suitcases each. It's tough, but in the end we mainly kept the things that meant the most to us. Looking forward to seeing the new boat!
I love the uplifting attitude you both have, such a breath of fresh air in todays world! As someone born in NZ and moved to northern Canada, I had to chuckle when you refered to a hooded sweatshirt as “winter clothing”. I cant wait to hear about the new boat! Thank you both for sharing your journey through life with all of us, I hope you both realize how much your positive attitudes towards life help those of us following you! May god bless you both on this newest chapter, and again thanks so much for taking us along for the ride!
COVID is just a part of life now. We just returned from camping at Ozette Lake in the Olympic NP. Got COVID as we left. No longer positive but still feeling the effects of COVID. It seems to hang in there. Wednesday we head out for a rafting trip on John Day River. Life continues on regardless. Love your videos and looking forward to your adventures.
Oh my goodness are you okay? Take another week or two.. To recover and do whatever you need to. Thank you for the update. Prayers for your continued recovery. 💝🙏💝
So you see in the video they are walking, smiling, living normally, one test is pos other neg, and your reaction is like they are on a death bed?? My goodness indeed, your iq is impressive
By now I hope you both have recovered and are in full health. So excited to see the next chapter unfold and here's to many more adventures. I will miss Curiosity tho so stroke her bow for moi when you step ashore for the last time. Love you very muchly 🐞
So glad you both enjoyed your time at Gulf Harbour Marina... I was fortunate to have been a part of the construction crew in the late 1980 (1987-1989). As one of the Electrical Leading-Hands, wired all the Onland and Onwater Electrical Services... Your fabulous Videos have certainly featured and shown what a great Marina Gulf Harbour still is after more than 30 years - Thank you.
Travel tip. Use vacuum space saving bags for your clothes. They are plastic bags you place the your clothes in and use a vacuum to suck the air out of the bag. You'll save a lot of space and will weather proof your clothes too.
I'd have a hard time leaving behind the electric bikes, as well as the scuba gear... along with I don't even know how much other stuff. Honestly I'd think about renting a storage unit in New Zealand, then sail back in 6 months to pick up all your stuff in your new boat.
Glad you’re feeling better! You two have been a bad influence on me. I’m going to get my new boat today! Okay… so maybe it’s just a foldable Oru kayak… but it still will get me out on the water. 😊 Take care of yourselves please. ❤️❤️
Jason and Nikki I love your attitudes, not even COVID dampens your look on the bright side attitudes. Although I do understand you must've had a few days of "...kill me now..." lol... Your indomitable spirits are a refreshing joy. Have a fantastic week!
Thanks for taking us through the process of replacing your traveler line! Sorry to hear you both had Covid, but glad you seem to be on the mend! Excited to see what the next chapter of your adventure brings - good luck with Curiosity!
Congratulations, I'm excited to see you transition to the new boat and continue exploring! Hope its not going to be too long before your back on the water.
It's bit of a shock to test positive for Covid. I know because I had Covid despite being careful following all the safety precautions for more than 2 years and finally caught up with Omicron 😁 Glad to hear that you are well. I can't wait to see your new boat ⛵ Being a film professional myself I can tell you that you are not only expert sailers but also excellent film makers !
I have seen each and every episode of your travels since the start. I sincerely pray that all goes well in your future plans. Best wishes and God bless you both wonderful people. Zatara crew are enjoying their South African safari. I am seriously going to miss Curiosity.
I had the dreaded COVID three weeks ago at 62. Took two weeks to test negative. Days 3 and 4 were the peak. Not great but not terrible but for day 3. Glad to hear you’re recovering. Probably recovered by now.
So glad y'all are beginning to feel better. It took me the better part of a whole month to begin to feel better but I tested positive for 2 months and they still can't explain why. Just happy you two are beginning to feel better. Looking forward to seeing your new home and where y'all head to next. Happy sailing y'all
Wow I have been gone for some months now.... So much has changed like new boat, new adventures and sickness... I hope the both of you are happy and the new boat comes on time. The Banks Family 👪 ❤️
Listen to the woman! What Matt’s wit chu!? With how hard that pulled through, just imagine how it woulda been without the feeder! Loves to y’all, and good lucks on the new boat.
Seeing the size of the marina reminds me of the fact that Monaco is so small that you can literally see the marina (Port Hercule) within the shape of the country. But NZ's yachting heritage is just as impressive as Monaco's! And although it's sad this is the last Curiosity boat project, it's always nice to start things fresh. For another chapter is around the corner. While you may have gotten it, the fact it took two years for it to get to you says a lot about what you've been doing. Meanwhile I live in a densely populated area like Long Island and I'm thankful that I still haven't gotten it. I'm a bit antisocial because I'm autistic so I didn't have to change much when the pandemic came around.
Oh, envy, envy, envy! You are in the cool! And RAIN! Enjoy yourselves! Here in Houston it's going to push 101 degrees this afternoon, and no rain for 3 weeks. Wishing you wellness from the covid quick!
Being sick is not a sailors dream. I’m glad you guys are up and about now. Selling the old boat will help your spirits and signing contracts with the new makes it better. Boy, your a long ways from your RV days. Yet theres is a consistency or thread that runs through it all.
Same day I also sold my parents house, the house I grew up in and which was my continuous *safe haven* whenever and whatever happened throughout, even when I was away on three continents for decades while studying, working, got and split a family, and even bought my own house 5 min away. Today, the day after, the tears in my eyes are about to dry as I both realize and are determined that a new chapter in life has started. It just got to be .... thx Curiosity for sharing this moment.
In mid Canada some of us r getting Covid for 2nd time having been fully vaccinated/bolstered x 2. I was near hospitalization mainly due to breathing issues. Managed to stay home with antibiotics and month of rest. Hope u recover well for next exciting boat travels. 🇨🇦❤️
I cannot express adequately the joy you have given me since I stumbled across you on Facebook over a year ago. I’ve gone back and watched everything in order and am completely hooked!! I’m a little distressed at “ losing” Curiosity so “soon” but also so excited for your future. New beginnings are always bittersweet. Y’all are the best and bring on the future! 🥰❤️❤️
You guys are just enjoying life so much. Your other yachties are in warmer climates while your freezing in the rain. It’s both your infectious smiles that start the day. It’ll be tough leaving the boat… Will the name curiocity stay with the boat? cheers guys, Jason, rest up.
Glad to hear you are feeling better! I had original version, but was lucky that when I got it they had the anti bodies treatment available. Made recovery much quicker. Lookikg forward to hearing about new boat.
They say in every life a little rain must fall, we know it well living through a "second winter" here in Washington State! We are thankful for the rain because it is so green here and other states are suffering through severe drought conditions. Blessing or curse, it's all based on perspective. Getting sick with "C" is another story! I'm glad you guys are on the mend! Best wishes on your upcoming new transition and growth. We'll be watching! 🥰
Hoping you both recover from covid completely, with no lasting affects, but remember to take it easy on your lungs for months after , that means NO DIVING PLEASE! Be Kind to your bodies. Sending love and best wishes in these final days. Go easy.
Glad to see you both, but, sure hated to hear both of you were sick. That was a clever idea for threading a new line. I liked seeing the water bird. Hope the week ius better to you both.
Baahaaha I'm laughing at you getting back on Minion with your new line, no life jackets on and heading off with the NZ Coastguard right there ... that's like doing burnouts in front of the Police 🤣
Hey Jason and Nikki saying hi from Florida Pensacola Florida to be exact I wanted to say hello and I am so sorry that y'all got covid I've had it twice now and we just now had my great-niece got it and came to stay with us and my mother has had it twice also now and she's 73 so I am so thankful that you guys didn't get any of those really bad strength they've been talking about. will be praying for you all and praying you don't get it again LOL thank God y'all are healthy thank you so much for sharing this with everyone God bless y'all stay safe on the water
Well I’ve been suffering covid with you and I’m currently at 1/4 blah. It’s such a debilitating illness when you’re 100% blah. I’m pleased you’re feeling better too. Looking forward to seeing your new boat 👍🏻
Cant wait to see the new Boat. Hope you guys recover quickly from your Covid. I got it for the first time about 6 weeks ago. Was just like a bad flu with the added loss of appetite. Lost close to 14 kgs in a month. Good thing lol. Man it rais plenty in those parts. Regards from South Africa.
Wide ranging emotions here, from bitter sweet- watching your last ever project on Curiosity to a rather sober empathy- as I too had Covid and I know your exhausted body and cloudy brain very well. Some advice (if I may offer it) when your body says rest, drop what your attempting and rest (you won't regret it). I wish you both well.
I can relate to this video on SO many levels. Sick, moving cross country, buying a house, feels far away, but really it's only a couple of months away, so much too do, so little time... ready to just go, but temporarily stuck. I GET YOU! It's weird to have so much in common with two people you have never met, haha. This too shall pass, and you will be living it up on your new adventure in no time flat. God Bless.
Wow!! Last boat chore on Curiosity... Must feel so good to have completed that LONG list of tasks and in that completed your commitment to take care of Curiosity because she has taken care of you for the last 6 years. We applaud you and all your incredible adventures with Curiosity and toast to all the many new incredible experiences and adventures you will have with your new home on the water!
Oh you poor things. Covid is rife again here in the UK. My mother has it, but thankfully a very mild dose but a lovely close friend has been really poorly. Glad you're both on the mend. It will be so sad to say goodbye to Curiosity but very much looking forward to meeting your new boat. Good luck with everything
Nice subliminal advert for NZ Volunteer Coastguard - not sure if it was planned or not but nice touch. Maori word for Shag is Kawau which may have been one of the Islands in the gulf you could have visited or sailed by. Happy Matariki Maori New Year 😊❤️✌🏿
coincidentally I got covid 7 days ago and my wife got it 2 days later. Not fun but not too bad either...lots of tired. Happy trails...and looking forward to all your new changes and adventures.
I have been lucky enough to be one of the 511K subscribers vicariously following you both from your last couple of RV years. I am sure your wonderful wacky shared curiosity will ensure we 'vicars' will be blessed with many more curious cruises to come. Thank you so much for the journey so far and the journeys to come👏👏👏 I hope you have enjoyed your time in our country, and will so do until you leave. What a shame you have not made it to Wellington where the really 'good days' are (keep that to yourself though and don't tell the Jaffas as they might move down here!😄) Seriously though thank you both for letting us all into your Curiosity. 🙏🤗
This episode made me sad but also exited. Leaving a place where you lived for several years is hard, although you know you're moving forwards, you'll always compare one with another and it takes time to get used to a new situation. Best of luck saying goodbye to your old home and I hope your new boat will bring you as much joy like the time on Curiosity! Fair winds and good luck getting comfortable on your new home/boat! Much love and courage, Nicky and Jason! X
Aw man! I just got ride of my Covid. It’s a very weird virus. But luckily the worst of it only lasted a few days then it was just a lingering mild cough. Glad you’re starting to feel better!! That marina view is so beautiful
Ah yes - it was freaking hot here in Dallas yesterday and we were getting our RV ready for sale. I totally get you - we are not leaving our home but packing up memories is so hard. We are excited to watch your new adventures. Stay safe and see you next week.
I have been watching your channel for some time now. Back when you had your RV. Love watching your channel and adventures. We are about to move into our new 5th wheel full time.
Damn covid.. I am so sad for you both to have contracted the virus... Praying you do not have an residual from being ill.. Praying all is well with the move and transition to your new boat.. Of course my mind goes to all of the special kitchen appliances you have been accustomed to using on Curiosity are you taking any of them with you? Love to you Both prayers for complete healing..
I have been watching you transition to an RV, and then to Curiosity. You are both so uplifting and inspiring. I cant wait to see what life on your new boat brings!
A new journey is about to start. It is not your first rodeo. It is going to be great. Take time to heal. Get well soon and I am getting excited as well. Love , pece and good health to you both.
So sad to see you leave it all behind! Nikki, are you even leaving your much loved griddle that they no longer make?!? I know it will be exciting to see you transform a new space into your very own. It will be beautiful and have lots of new creative solutions for storage and practicality! But still a little sad! Glad you’re both feeling better! Good luck with the transition! Happy trails till you’re sailing again!
Fell in love with your channel around the time you transisioned from RV to Sailboat. @@desertedenblooms was a joke -- they control what we see. Its like any other "reality show" except they are both editor and the "talent."

Being sick is not a sailors dream. I’m glad you guys are up and about now. Selling the old boat will help your spirits and signing contracts with the new makes it better. Boy, your a long ways from your RV days. Yet theres is a consistency or thread that runs through it all.
Great to start on a new boat I hope soon. It is also Great to start Sunday with both of you. Please Be Safe. Thanks from Florida.
Glad you are feeling better. Congrats on the new boat.
Opened Umbrella upside down under work projects done on the water. Always 😎
Sorry that yall are sick...wishing that you get better! Best wishes from Monroe, Louisiana.
143 guys. I can feel the emotion coming out of you and I hope you find the vessel you desire. happy voyages
Excited for the new boat and all the new adventures. Sad to see Curiosity go but she's in good hands!
You guys are just enjoying life so much. Your other yachties are in warmer climates while your freezing in the rain.
It’s both your infectious smiles that start the day. It’ll be tough leaving the boat…
Will the name curiocity stay with the boat? cheers guys, Jason, rest up.
Onward and upward! Be happy, be safe
Go easy.
My wife and I had COVID in January. I tested positive 3 weeks after my initial positive test. Was symptom free and still testing positive.
God Bless.
Bummer you got COVID. The good news is you both still alive, and you almost have your new boat. Now, stay well, and lets get sailing.
Wow, that dry-docking system looked really intriguing to me. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, Thanks, can't wait for the rest of the story
You 2 have came a long ways and learned a lot about a bout and I'm amazed on how smart you 2 are.prety good education in 6 years.
Listen to a iconic kiwi song “four seasons in one day” it’s classic description of the kiwi life
Oh you poor things.
Thank you so much for the journey so far and the journeys to come👏👏👏
I hope you have enjoyed your time in our country, and will so do until you leave.
What a shame you have not made it to Wellington where the really 'good days' are (keep that to yourself though and don't tell the Jaffas as they might move down here!😄)
Seriously though thank you both for letting us all into your Curiosity.
That marina view is so beautiful
thanks for sharing ur skills and adventure with us to enjoy watching it while we are bored in our flat and good luck with ur next step.
Ah yes - it was freaking hot here in Dallas yesterday and we were getting our RV ready for sale. I totally get you - we are not leaving our home but packing up memories is so hard. We are excited to watch your new adventures. Stay safe and see you next week.
Hope you 2 are feeling better soon as possible.
This is the most cryptic you two have been in 8 years...it has to be tough for you both no doubt.
So sorry you had to suffer with that darn covid. I'm glad you're all better. Thank you for the video. ⛵
You two are definitely giddy about the huge change in your life! But clearly happy giddy. Can't wait to hear about the new boat.
God!!!!! Just sail again. I'll be back when ya do.
Exciting times for the Wynns, hope your sea trial goes well, can’t wait to hear about the new boat. Wish you guys all the best.
Bummer! All this time avoiding Covid and now to get it. Glad you're doing well after.

Love
, pece and good health to you both.
Exciting times....
Moving forward....
The best way to Grow.
💖😇🥰🌞🌴⛵️
Missed you while you were laid low. Hope the survey goes well and look forward to the new boat details. The South Island snow awaits you.
Wishing u guys a speedy recovery and good luck getting your new boat cheers
