That same concept with the 2jz (which I own two of), works with lm7 (Chevy ls) motors. Just in the v8 form (which I own 4 of). Some of these motors we over look how well engineered they truly are. Great talk guys keep up the great work.
I'm sure you guys are well aware, just for the viewers. Upgrading that valvetrain is something that should be done, not for stretching the powerband but because on a track car you spend a lot more time in the upper Rev range. The stock valvetrain is very good but to strengthen it and avoid valve floating is just an easy thing to do to help keep the engine from dropping a valve and setting you back. Aye fam, low vtec engagement has nothing to do with coming out of corners. It's only because the setup likes it there. It's to keep the graph climbing without any dips(which you would be losing precious power) my f23a all motor was low too around 3k. But that had a smooth climbing graph all the way to redline. Exactly what you want✔🙏 keep up the great work bro

I thought it was low tbh.. With e85, ported pump for more RPM and bigger injectors... I make more fully stock. But in all reality, with stock head and cams, these K24's dont really make much power past 7800rpm.. He needs some cams. Not sure if he said he is running a 50 degree VTC, that will help.
You have to remember what you guys are racing. If you are doing GLTC wheel to wheel. You are correct keeping the hp in that range. But if y’all just doing time attack get them number up. But there. Whole different set of thing of that wheel to wheel
Also i cant wait to see yall on the track...... i like letting the race cam coming on at about 5800..... the small cam is more efficient at low rpm ...... that just my turning philosophy

What i did with mine was vtec kicks at 3000 rpm but only turns on when TPS is above 55% so you can feather the throttle out of the corner.
