Back in Syria, we used to watch the Champions League on big screens. Steven Gerrard is an absolute hero for many Syrians. That goal against Olympiacos and the night in Istanbul made many in my generation in Syria fall in love with Liverpool and Stevie G.
It's heartwarming to see him next to the new legend who is an Arab just like us.

One of the best feelings ever is to see someone from your own country writes history for a club you have always supported since childhood. Seeing Salah side by side with Gerrard made me emotional. Gerrard will always have a special place in every supporter of Liverpool and Salah has given a lot to this club to be considered one of its legends. Thanks a lot for this video. I got emotional watching this! .

Gerrard was the reason a lot of us started supporting LFC and Mo made us fall in love with the club.
I started because of my dad and Michael Owen - but Gerrard was definitely a reason I stayed loyal through all the shitty years.
That being said, he is my favourite ever.

I'm from the Middle East, I started supporting Liverpool in the days when Gerrard was the captain, I always loved the fighting spirit of the Reds and the atmosphere of the Anfield, but I can't hide it, I felt I belong more when Salah joined, I mean one of us is in my favorite team! still, I didn't expect him to do what he did for the last 6 years and to become himself one of the Reds' Legends.

The first time I watched Liverpool match was in 2005. I was 13 years old. Steven Gerrard made me love this club. You're forever a legend ❤️
Cried like a baby at Gerrards last words, that he would love to do this all over again and he misses it every day. Both are absolute legends but Gerrard will always have a special place in my heart. Fantastic video.

Stevie is always putting himself down in term of talent, but by God, he was a miracle player. So much flair in everything he did, i really think he is too hard on himself. For me, he is in the holy trinity of Pirlo, Xavi and Gerrard for midfield of my lifetime (1992-present) and there can be a debate of the order of the 3. I miss him every game Liverpool play, i keep imagining him under Kloppo. I mean after all both Totti and Zidane ( and many others) consider Stevie the best in the world at the time. What more do you need......
