Welcome and Homemade Cinnamon Rolls!

  • Welcome to my first ever video! I thought we could get to know each other over some homemade cinnamon rolls.
    I am planning to do a real variety of content so keep an eye out for more videos coming soon!

    Ingredients:
    Dough -
    250ml warm milk
    60g melted butter
    55g caster sugar
    1/2 packet (3g) dried yeast
    320g flour (separated into 270g flour and 50g flour + additional for rolling)
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    Filling:
    75g softened butter
    60g caster sugar
    1tbsp cinnamon
    Frosting:
    70g cream cheese
    15g melted butter
    100g icing sugar
    Method:
    Warm milk & melt butter before combining with the sugar in a large bowl.
    Sprinkle yeast over warm mix, leave to rest for a minute.
    Sieve 270g flour and mix until combined.
    Wrap bowl in clingfilm and leave to proof for 1 hour in a warm place.
    Add additional 50g flour, baking powder, salt and mix.
    Empty mix onto floured surface.
    Roll dough out into 1cm thick rectangle.
    Spread butter across surface of dough, sprinkle over sugar & cinnamon on top.
    Roll dough up from longside upwards.
    Slice into segments approx 3-4cm thick.
    Grease baking dish, place rolls in.
    Cover and proof for another 30 minutes.
    Preheat oven to 180°C.
    Bake cinnamon rolls for 25 - 30 minutes, until golden brown.
    For the frosting, whisk together the cream cheese, butter and icing.
    Drizzle over the cinnamon rolls.
    Enjoy!
