Good review, I have owned a FX Impact Mk 1.5, was a suberb rifle, never, ever let me down, I have also had Wildcat Mk2 again another brilliant Rifle, currently have a Dreamline Tactical, going on 4 years now, again never missed a beat, pellet on pellet every time up to 50metrers, I have been looking at the FX DRS which I quite like the look of, but my RFD has the copper M4 in stock & I'm sorely tempted to purchase that instead. As you may summise, I like FX products, I also like other brands, Daystate, Air Arms & Weihrauch, but for now FX is my choice, they are Rifles I have personally owned & in my opinion, they are in the top 4 of premium brand Air Rifle's👍
Get an FX Typhoon T12, mine is a 25 years old.....5 o rings throughout. Brilliant, simple gun & still in the FX range. I just serviced an FX Impact M3, it has 40+ o rings in it !!
Looking forward to you taking her out in the field and testing it properly. To be fair I've gone off these tactical bull puppies my next rifle is gonna be the daystate revere I just love the classic hunting rifle looks. Enjoy your new toy bro one love ❤ Ali
I,m not a FX fan but it's a good thing FX made the impact more reliable but reliable PCP's don't exist. The transferport seal blow out again from my AirArms S410 some days ago. Never an issue with my HW springers and are as accurate as a PCP if you know how to shoot them. Cheers!
The FAC impact is so versatile and adaptable to different situational requirements I couldn't conceive of changing my M3 at the moment, that said I have spent a shed load on upgrades.
Really like your explanations. The only point to make is I have to listen really hard because the sound level is a bit low. If you could use a clip on mic it would help to pick up your voice. Cheers.
See I've been put off by fx for the majority of what you mentioned earlier..so many horror story's about them and allot of people online will swear by them still.. what would be nice is an update every couple weeks from yourself or every month for say a year of owning to see if it does hold up..way too many story's of people opening their gun case and finding them to have spring a leak and emptied or needed to be shipped back to fx the day they bought it etc etc so for people who aren't made of money can get an open and honnesy review from someone who let's be right..has an imense collection instead of just the standard everyday air gunner like myself who can't afford to spend just under 2k on something that has allot of issues
Im sorry if I’m wrong but I think the new M4 sub12 still have two regulators cause of the delta pressure between bottle 250 bar and the service pressure (keeping the power low)
Hi, I’m looking to get another gun, always liked the alpha wolf, but now the FX M4 is out. I only target shoot, and seeing as you own both guns I would really appreciate your opinion and guidance. Great videos, keep up the good work.
@ianrudd2668 The Alpha is superb but I do worry sometimes about the reliability of the electronic system ,ive been lucky as ive had several electronic rifles and had no issues at all with any of them . As regards the Fx ive not had it long enough to express any long term recommendations on it . So far it's spot on
Glad we are seeing some pcp action lately. Great vids, nice one. Not an FX fan owned 2 over the years and I'm afraid they were utter tosh. Never again. Not a fan of how they seem to release so many rifles so often and seem to use customers as guinea pigs.
Its a nice looking rifle but just not a fan of FX, will be interested on how it fairs through time after a good few rounds have gone through and how much tweaking it needs. Great overview.
Nice review, I’ve just ordered my M4 1.77 in copper so can’t wait till I can go and collect it got tingly balls already 😂, Going to get the hikmicro 4K day/night scope for it too so that’s me skint for the rest of my life 😂
To me it's the same as fx mk2 but with a magnet and and different trigger everything else is the same I like them I got two and they are very accurate imo
can you tell me if this rifle is lighter than hw 100bp,of which i have now i have had a stroke and my left arm is weaker than a politicians promise , i need something lighter and thinking of getting one of these, rifles cheers.
Hi, I have an M3 that I have had to do most of the mods that have been done to the M4 , the stiffened back bone I changed the liner system for an HFT 500 solid barrel to get rid of the POI shift which is common on FX rifles and was considering an M4 mainly for the upgraded trigger system. However just thought I would point out that the M4 still has 2 regs in the sub 12 models they just omitted the gauge for the first reg if you unsrew the bottle you can see the adjuster for the front reg as it was on the M3. Having said that I have never had a leak and with a solid barrel fitted along with the Air Marksman back bone it shoots like a lazer beam just wish I could get the trigger alittle lighter, it breaks like glass but too heavy for my liking. But my moan about FX apart good video as always keep them coming.
Called to my local gun shop to purchase the M4 in copper I ordered. Very disappointed only for right handed absolutely no good for left hand the magazine is in the way. Left the gun shop empty handed. Being lefy I’m looking for comfort when using the air rifle I own 15 air rifle so shooting comfortable is a must for me enjoyed your review 👍
I had a maverick airgun more like a shotgun got rid of that .If u know airguns and how they work and can do all the work ur self then FX could be Great really good but if ur not that knowledgeable then pass.
I think the main problem with FX gun's is the smooth twist barrel's don't suit sub 12 if you watch sub 12 airgunners here on TH-cam he's had a pantera and the new drx and ended up fitting air arms hft500 barrels on as the shot really badly
500 plus .22 400 plus .177😊 I'm seriously thinking of getting one myself I have a crown mk2 and fingers crossed never had a single issue in almost 2 years
An air gun with greater than 12ftlbs is a section 1 fire arm, so people who dont want to go through the whole process of obtaining a section 1 fire arm certificate are limited to sub 12
Good video - no nonsense - covered the FX complexity issue well - this is a tempting rifle.....

Thanks for the honest review, very informative.
Thank-you for the review. I’ve been waiting for someone in the uk to review this gun. So we don’t get the dribble.

It's a shame the FX reps on U tube always make me turn off as the B'S is too much
Nice review, I have the FX Impact M3 and it's been super reliable and accurate, I am looking forward to your field test.

The sub 12 M4 only has one reg!
what you perfer and do you always use 177 as working out go for 177 or 22 looking at this one or your pro x
@swiftdetecting generally prefer. 177 flatter trajectory
Don’t see many people shooting FX’s rifles at the gun club enough said
Thanks for the review. Looking forward to seeing the M4 on the range

Google it you will find a left hand conversion piece and mags.

I always trust your reviews , because you buy your own rifles , just like sub 12 and south African u tuber aim small , thankyou for sharing the video
Can barely hear you Paul.
You are very lucky Paul I can barely afford a tin of pellets. Love your content
@happyhourharry6372 I still have loads fun with the very old springers which can be had for next to nothing

Total overkill for sub 12. Sub 12 all you need it's a small air cylinder, no plenum, and a 200mm barrel
i really can not undersand the need to buy such kind of airguns in sub12 version .....

A very good review though Paul, Always enjoy them mate 👍

Can u shoot left or right handing
Id love to see where all your guns are kept. I see all these guns and cant stop wondering where on earth you store them. 😂
I have the drs not the best tbh springer out shooting it , may of got a bad one don’t know .
Loads of gun cabinets 😅 to be fair I do sell so I can buy .
sub 12 FX are just not up to scratch especially for the money.
