Thanks man, just bought thrush glasspack today for my Durango, I've got 1st generation n muffler SPLIT n I spent a bunch trying to bandaid it.....NO ISE GLASSPACK n make her RUMBLE
so what all piping did you have to get to delete the cat? i'm about to do this same exhaust setup on my 95 ram 1500 with the 318 and i couldn't understand what was said when you were talking about the pipe you bought at oreillys.
Sorry about that. Yeah I just bought a piece of straight pipe in the same diameter as the original exhaust. This way you can cut out your CAT and then put the piece of straight replacement pipe in its place. Fairly simple. I do recommend welding it if you can. I needed up welding it all in place at a later date. I still have a slight exhaust leaks that needs attention in the near future.
I left my cat on my 1997 318, but got rid of the massive muffler and went with the puny straight-thru...... it's kind of loud but the tone is WAY lower. Finally sounds like a truck. Getting ready to spend twice as much as the truck is worth to have it painted....... 24 years old, 180k, and not a single ding on the body. I kind of have to paint it..... factory "magenta" must be eliminated.
Hey thanks for the Comment and watching. Thank you also for sharing. That is what I originally did with mine, I cut out the Muffler and just put in a straight tube and deleted the muffler. The cat ended up clogging so that is where this video started from. I hollowed out my CAT and I wasn't able to get all the honey comb out which made it rattle really bad sometimes. So that was the inspiration for this video.

Nice man. Enjoy the muffler. It’s a great sounding muffler.

Thank you man. Much appreciated
True duals really wake up those 318s, and a hand port job if you ever have to open up the motor, that's a sweet truck and should probably outlast u
Thanks man. Yeah I should open up the ports some for sure.
