Suggestion on your pump the tank on the pump comes off easy just undo the high pressure nut for the line the tank pops off just switch them over

You should always put a couple of coils in the brake line at the master cylinder. It helps prevent movement farther down the lines that might create leaks from rubbing.

I see how that pedal issue all started, mark the plates with top and bottom or firewall side or driver seat side, if you can catch what mean that way the work gets welded right way first time

Does that engine have a Bosch ve injector pump they look like a strong engine.
If you used the copper brake line it is soft enough that a bubble flare will seal to a bubble and inverted. A guy I worked with only used copper and only flared bubbles and never had a leak a 1/4 turn wouldn't solve.
