Better late then never I guess. I had some really cool plans for this video but it just didnt work out as my van is still in the garage. But then again seeing how long this video turned out to be, it doesn't really matter. Anyways today I will show you all the details of my old kanjo racer that I imported from Japan a couple of months ago.

Restore the car while still keeping it the way it is. Don't sell it. How many people can say that they own a legitimate Kanjo racer with history on the loop? A couple of years from now, they're gonna be even rarer especially with people chopping them up for parts.

Yes rivets are a way to increase rigidity.
Also adding weld spots works the same way.
That's standard procedure for race cars to increase rigidity.
I'm impressed that they do that on their cars. Didn't know about it.
Civics to get better performance need to get the rear bumper cut or with holes, not just for show, it has a performance, Civics rear bumper usually works as a parachute so its best to modified them!
It lets air out barely does anything i had an eg8 did it to that literally did nothing

seems legit, in sea esp in the philippines most civic street racers used d15b and it beats some b series or other dohc cars at times

Would you ever plan on doing a B series swap? B series with dual port 4 carb would be insane. Definitely will follow the traditional Kanjozoku style. Kazu's Mechadok EF has the same setup and sounds insane. Awesome car though and just amazing feeling knowing it has ran the loop. Also a set of 15 or 16" wheels would look alot better.
I'd think the bubble on the rearview mirror is a photodiode for an automatic dimming function, so you don't have to flip the tab.

Such a shame its not a twin cam but in Australia the VTi is still a D series motor. But quiet surprising being an ex kanjo loop racer you would think they would of at least swapped the engine. But definitely eye catching and sounds insane.
The window tints is for them not to be seen or recognized by the police. Since basically street racing in Osaka is illegal (Kanjo Racing). Most kanjo civics has that net on the driver side. This one seems like they have removed it.
If you have auto headlights, then the sensor on the dash is for the car to tell when it is day/night to turn headlights on/off automatically.

The rear and rear quarter window tints might be factory tints. Some cars came with them from factory, mine has them too and its not like a film on the window
The dome by the rear view mirror is the keyless entry receiver

Quality parts init and the ecu might have a better one if it doesn’t have anything moded then they just got a different ek3 took everything out and made it
Race spec and the parts left over went on the car you bought.

Why is there a d15 in it? Was there no engine when you got it? Just curious because I always thought kanjo racers used b series mostly.

Everywhere on the car where there is a seam that is spotwelded. And you put the rivits between the spotwelds through the seams to add extra strenght.

I honestly don't know, it was in the car when I bought it, i did check some sites like osakajdm, deep's japan and zerofighter but nothing popped up

Those brackets are rare lol? In the US that's what we got so here seeing anything else is rare not really possible with the size of the plate though
Philippine spec VTi arent VTEC-E, just VTEC and its a 1.6. Buuuut its 127 horsepower, less power than the D15B

Ik heb n EJ6 coupe gekocht, waarvan de Kmstand onbekend is... k vertrouw de motor niet. Waar kan ik aan herkennen dat de motor fuckedup is. Of nog goed voor n aantal 10.000 km gebruik... Thanks!
het makkelijkste is kijken hoe stabiel de motor loopt, een compressietest te doen en te kijken hoe oud de distributieriem eruit ziet
doe eens een oliewissel. kan zoieso geen kwaad en je ziet hoe de olie eruit ziet

I know what an EK3 is, it's just that it was 3am and I was randomly buying cars without paying much attention and because of the whole police issue I didnt really care that much about this car until it arrived
Yea I get it, not hating at all! The Euro EK3 has 3 stage VTEC too, but it's a D15Z6.
And at 3AM, confusing a VTi with an SiR (being from Europe), is understansable haha
I just wish I had your capability of buying cars, like "randomly buying cars ar 3AM" hahaha
I have a D15Z6 and it has only one solenoid so i dont think it is 3 stage vtec
