i'm a straight guy but currently fixing my acne prone skin, the he'll just realized why ladies maintenance is very expensive, btw i bought anua cleansing oil and followed the double cleansing, it did not give me breakout, it really works, it cleaned my pores especialy my nose, but micro hair remains, then it closed the pores and reduced the visibility, just really need to cleanse it with water based cleanser to avoid clogging from oil cleanser, then i 1st layered with salicylic solution for opening and cleaning the pores again, then 2nd hyaluronic to suck out whatever liquid inside of your pores then sunscreen/mosturizer.

I don’t understand why the need to express that you’re a “straight guy” has to do with cleansing oils and cleansing your pores. Sexual orientation doesn’t have anything to do with hygiene and wanting to take care of your skin.

Not only that but many people also don't emulsify their regular cleanser...they just slap it on and immediately wash it off lol.
I found out that if you gently massage your cleanser all around your face for a full good minute or two (or a bit more) it can really clean up your face and gives a natural glowing skin just after drying up your face.
This and some form of exfoliant will really give you a radiant healthy skin.

first, I would recommend to stop using any products you think is contributing to your acne and revert back to basics (cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen). Then re-introduce soothing and calming products containing ingredients like cica, heartleaf and mugwort! You can also add acne spot treatments too~

Not all skin types like oil. You can even be allergic. My skin erupts whenever I use cleansing oils regardless of brand and type of oil, and my skin isn’t even acne prone, never has, but I got super sensitive diabetic skin which has overlapping symptoms with Rosacea. I used to have normal combi oily skin, and I could use most products. And only ingredients that broke me out or irritated my skin was alcohol and green tea. Now at age 37, I can’t use 99% of all skincare as they all break me out regardless of brand or ingredients, and I’ve tried the majority of them European, American, Korean and Japanese let it be hyped or famous brands/products. One’s skin changes with age, and what used to work, does not anymore… too easy to blame it on not washing the oil off properly. I’m severely allergic to grass pollen, besides certain food allergies and intolerances this also overlaps with certain foods, and plants causing a cross allergic reaction.
