  • Today I take you to an epic Bangkok street fair, Kaset Fair, with over 1400 vendors. This is a massive yearly street fair held at the Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand. I will give you a full tour of each section in this fair. Join me as I try a variety of street food, check out all the different products and projects the students have presented, and give you a tour of all the different parts of this massive street fair. The variety of street food at this fair is staggering. At least half of all the stalls sell food, everything from drinks to alligator meat. This fair runs every year during the first week of February and is not to be missed if you enjoy street food, animals, plants and flowers, agriculture, fair games and just a general fun atmosphere. Kaset fair is my favorite of any of the street fairs I have been to in Thailand. Definitely better than most of the commercial night markets here in Bangkok. I highly recommend you visit fairs like this when traveling.

      Hi Serg, I really enjoy your videos. I've been watching since your "First day in Bangkok" video came on my feed.
      Very nice, fun, informative content. I have to ask. How are you learning the language? Impressive.
      Other Expat videos I watch, are so focused on the phrase: "don't worry everyone speaks English here."
      If I'm NOT mistaken, your 1 year anniversary of living in Thailand is approaching?🌏🇹🇭
      Have fun and Thanks for sharing!👍

    Love this vlog. I am an alumni of Kasetsart University and just went there on Friday evening. The place was packed but I really enjoyed it. I walked only the agricultural machinery, plants, and food section because I bought a lot of stuff and it was heavier and heavier. You are correct. Kasetsart means agriculture as it was the purpose of this university when the late King Rama 9 established it. Our country is mainly agriculture so we need to educate farmers and people in rural areas to do it correctly.

    I really like this festival/Fair. I am glad that some cash goes to the University !
    That was very cool seeing the different Embassies represented. The Russian one looked good I remember a Russian babysitter I had wayyyy Back when I was a child. She would always make dumplings I think they were called "Pelmeni" and they were yummy !

    • @LifewithSerg
      @LifewithSerg  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! Pilmeni is correct. If you have any kind of international food store around you, you should be able to easily find them in the frozen section. They come with many different meat ingredients. Also, be sure to try the Vareniki, they tend to have sweets ingredients.
      I really should go do a video at a Russian restaurant here in Bangkok.

    Kasetsart literally means "knowledge of the land" and the university was established as the main agricultural place of learning in Thailand 80 years ago. Obviously, the university has expanded and diversified somewhat over the years with humanities programmes, social sciences, engineering and many more programmes. I'm glad you enjoyed Kaset fair. would have loved to run into you while you were at the fair.
