Great video, fellas. I'm about to try this with my band as we are all from differnt states and are working on replacing some minimal guitar parts and then writing and recording new ideas as well. This looks like the PERFECT fit for our needs.
Really great info!!! I forgot about this feature and kept redoing files and sending them and waiting for a reply, this is much easier and I’ll be using this more often to collaborate with others thanks Mitch!!!
It has downsides as well. I tried to share only one session. I couldn't upload all the files because it failed all the time. Every time when I tried to do it again, it reduced the free space in my cloud storage. After a few tries the cloud storage has filled up and I couldn't share all the files in the session. I wasn't able free up the space without deleting the project that I built up. I use PT since 2010 and I upgraded from Pro Tools LE last year only to prepare for the collaboration. Now I feel like I've been fooled as I don't have the ability to upload a few tracks into a project. The beginning was a big disappointment.
Atipam you may want to reach out to Avid and see what went wrong with your Project. I'd probably save what you have on your cloud account and delete it off and try again. I've had good success with collaboration and it's improved a lot since it first came out.
I wonder what TC Electronic gear was so lucky as to get product placement in the role of "box that Don used to prop his phone up for video chatting while recording his guitar part".
So after saving, every time I close any project I get 1, 2, or all 3 of these pop up’ssaying there tracks have not been uploaded to the cloud, there are tasks whichare incomplete, or There are tracks with changes on the cloud which have notbeen accepted. Does anybody know what these mean and how I can solve them or stop them?
Jay Dub - yes you can start a project in Pro Tools or Pro Tools HD on Mac OS X or Windows and collaborate (share or send tracks back and forth) with Pro Tools, Pro Tools HD or Pro Tools First users on Mac or Windows.
Hello, I am a beginner using Pro Tools First. So after saving, every time I close any project I get 1, 2, or all 3 of these pop up’s saying there tracks have not been uploaded to the cloud, there are tasks which are incomplete, or There are tracks with changes on the cloud which have not been accepted. Does anybody know what these messages mean? I have been having very strange problems with one of my projects not saving after I click file
Track Commit and Track Freeze are more recent features in Pro Tools that allows you to quickly create a track that you can share via collaboration with others that may not have the same plugins you have.

Perfect for coronavirus world
Thanks Mitch, PT in the cloud is the way to go (I use PT 2018 HD on my 27" iMac) , when you need to collaborate. Sweetwater rocks!
How do you take it off cloud to record offline

Anyone know why I can't save copy in as 'project' format? I get "sign in required"?

Can i collaborate winth AAX-plugins? If i have some plugin, but my partner don't have it, how we can collaborate?
Vostorg I believe you'd have to commit the track with the processing of the plugin that your partner doesn't have.
Bounce it?

Your use of the word GAME CHANGER isn't, however. Yes, it's great nonetheless.
