YEAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! If I were to die tomorrow, I'd die a happy man KNOWING someone actually played this at a church service! And for the record, I'm pretty sure that God has a sense of humor. :)
I wanted to have that play when people were being seated at my wedding and my wife said the organist wouldn't do it so I asked her at the reception and she said she would have loved to. At least I got to hear what it would have sounded like. Awesome
I didn't. :) Thought it was a clever idea, that is until the pastor made a big deal out of this being my last inspiring organ piece right before I played it. The bulletin listed "A Special Surprise" as the name. In retrospect I probably should have let him know ahead of time. :)
Thats so awesome, great work on this one, I've always wanted to do this for a postlude at my church but I think I'd probably get the bible thrown at me lol. Thank you for posting
Yeah, what are They going to do fire You ? God Bless You and may You find the time to do what YOU want to do now. Happy retirement. I thought retirement was going to be a snooze, guess what ? I started taking organ lessons just after My Wife of 42 years passed away suddenly. 4 years ago, and all of a sudden I am so busy I don't know which way to turn sometimes. I thank GOD every day for My wonderful music Teachers and Mentors, Brad Bryan and Dennis Awe, My large and still growing Family 5 Kids, 16 Grand Kids and 2 Great Grand Daughters, and a truly supportive Church Family, I don't know what I would do with out any of Them. God Bless You and Yours. Kevin PS; I remember when that song was brand new, I was already in College then.
A church,...."In The Garden of Eden" and God said Oh so now you get real on your last day....lol Just kidding,...I'm thinking you were the best and they all dearly enjoyed your playing as well as your presence for the last 18 years!
Dear Cynthia, we´re going to marry in two month and would try to convince our organist to do this favour for us. But she told us, she didn´t got the musicnotes. Could you kindly help us?
I downloaded the music from: www.sheetmusicdirect.us/search/search.action?&contributorId=83770&instrumentId=53 I just improvised the pedal line. Hope that helps... and congratulations on your marriage!
En el jardín del Edén, Eva le dió de comer a Adán una manzana, el fruto del árbol del Bien y el Mal, y le abrió los ojos. Alimento, amor y sabiduría. Amen.
SEVENTEEN MINUTES LATER
Wait a minute, this sounds like rock and/or roll
*A beach ball is thrown at Rev. Lovejoy's head*
i don't get it.. why does he add an "or" to this? and why is a ball thrown at his head afterwards?
Explaining comedy is like trying to paint with a fish.
Bart Sells his Soul to Milhouse.
'In the Garden Of Eden' by I. Ron Butterfly
"Hey Marge, remember when we used to make out to this hymn?"
(giggles) "Shhhh!"
Wait a minute! This sounds like Rock and/or Roll!

SwikeOne Simply because Rev. Timothy Lovejoy said it in an episode of "The Simpson"
Song sounds wonderful on the organs. Did anyone hold up a candle?
+Connor McLernon LOL... unfortunately, only a minority of the congregation got it or recognized it. But of those who did, no candles were held up. :)
Cynthia , It sounded like those Who did, really liked it. ! I know I did. Kevin
Please stand for our opening hymn uh, "In The Garden Of Eden" by I Ron Butterfly

+Cynthia M (Classypiano) Just FYI, I showed this to my churchs' priest, and he just about couldn't stand up due to laughing so hard. :D
+Josh Maerker Even priests have a sense of humor! Glad I could give him a good laugh. :)
I've always wanted to hear it on a church organ! You made my week :)
I wanted to have that play when people were being seated at my wedding and my wife said the organist wouldn't do it so I asked her at the reception and she said she would have loved to. At least I got to hear what it would have sounded like. Awesome

What a great tune for a retirement.
Sounds great, Cynthia. I was waiting for the drum solo. Alas. ;)
I'll be sure to include drums next time. :) Thanks for the kind comment.
This is amazing. Kudos to you, Cynthia.
Thanks. :)
Great :) I love postludes, as they let the organist often times get away with a few songs they normally don't.
Simply fantastic - and be assured - the old man has a sense of humor !!
Thanks Cynthia!
It makes me feel like attending church services again.
Man, this was pretty great, what a way to say goodbye! Thanks for sharing.
This is totally Awesome Cynthia! Way to go out with a Bang!!
The only way that this could possibly have been more bitchin' is if you didn't tell the senior pastor you were going to do it. :P
I didn't. :) Thought it was a clever idea, that is until the pastor made a big deal out of this being my last inspiring organ piece right before I played it. The bulletin listed "A Special Surprise" as the name. In retrospect I probably should have let him know ahead of time. :)
Momento, esto parece un esquizofrénico rock and roll...
