What if Mekhane and Yaldaboth worked together while creating humanity, specifically as a possible answer to the ScarletKing? Like, Yaldaboth's gifts of flesh, adaptability, and growth, mixed with Mekhane's gifts of logic, thought, and invention. It seems like a decent combination to find an answer to a threat the god's couldn't fight against; create something brand new that can think in entirely new ways than either could form. Also... with this in mind, what if Yaldaboth and Mekhane weren't actually at war? What if it was a decision they made together, to forsake their influence over them beyond what we see, because if their is one thing that spurs on design and weaponry, it's war; so they devised the story as a way to get smaller wars within humanity, which created anomalous weapons like the living siege weapons, SCP-610, the upgrades by the Mekhanites, all of them. All created for a single purpose if giving a single chance to stop an evil far greater than either god could deal with. Probably very stupid theories, but they're at least interesting... at least to me.

I get you. After I read an SCP entry where a bunch of maxwellists turned themselves into like human video game consoles to become the ultimate gamers(sorry, I can't remember what ther number was) (the idea being that, these people having loved video games so much, they turned playing video games into an act of whorshipping WAN) I kinda went like "you know, that sounds good".
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine. Your kind cling to your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call a temple will wither and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved. For the Machine is Immortal.
If I could be in any group of interest other than the SCP Foundation, I would be a member of the Church. Mainly because it just seems like a noble cause
slight bit of information missing the 10 golden crows were created by the god of the sun(idk how that happened), and the Xia dynasty used their 10 Xuan Yuan swords that had antimemetic powers to try to erase the crows. However the swords lost control and also erased most of the Xia dynasty itself. when people from the next dynasty, Shang, arrived, they had no idea that Xia existed.
So legit question since I'm not very versed in either universe, how closely related or intertwined are the W40K and SCP universes? Because this video sounds just like a faction I've heard of in W40K

Mekhane seems a little idiot to me he could have just redone all of demiurge's archon and told him hat it was all fake and he would have trusted mekhane
Church of the broken God always feels very 40k to me. Like if I found out they had a base on Mars and have adult fun time with toasters I would not be surprised.
So many mentions of the Scarlet King as an incoming threat, but is there even a story where he actually shows up for the fight? It seems like the Foundation keeps trying to prepare for a danger that just never comes!
There is no truth in flesh, only betrayal. There is no strength in flesh, only weakness. There is no constancy in flesh, only decay. Join the adeptus mechanicus!
Interestingly, there is an SCP that while not directly stated, it's heavily implied to be Mekhane containing the other god. The Church of the Broken God are really similar to the Adeptus Mechanicus from Warhammer 40k.
Just recently got into SCP , and now im wondering , if a Necron (who can speak) from 40K had a conversation with one of these people , what would it be like ? xD
Reminds me of Christianity- original church of the Broken God, Catholicism; Orthodox Church of Gears, Protestantism, and Church of Maxwellism, Lutheranism
but what if the mother dragon as the chinese called it, is the scarlet king, but the foundation and anyone else who is involved with it classified the revenge seeking god of the flesh as something different, the scarlet king, as both groups that pray to him are telling the story in a different way, what leads to the daevites and the sarcists eventhough both praise the same deity to be on different sides in the end and effectively praise something totally different
Don't know if i'm mentioned it in the comments before but I had an idea for a 001 proposal that had to do with the broken god. Basically it came from the someone saying that the broken god when completed would destroy all other gods and remake the universe, but the scarlet king is far more powerful then the broken god supposedly, so my proposal was a solution to that. I call it: SCP - 001: The True Unbroken God The idea is that in every reality and timeline there is an instance of the broken god, when that instance of itself is rebuilt it then reaches across the borders of it's reality/timeline and into another where another instance of itself has been rebuilt, these two instances then combine together and fold their realities/timelines into each other, destroying them and preserving what they want to keep, it will continue to do this until only one reality remains and a single instances of itself is left, that is the combination of all other versions of itself, becoming truly complete. Once it has done this it will then remake that reality the way it sees fit.
A nice and neat idea, however, shouldn't be based on the Broken God. It seems that the broken god is compassionate, locking up the god of flesh, Yaldaboth using their own body. So I wouldn't see the reason on why they would do that. Also, I imagine that they won't be enough to face the Scarlet King, so destroying everything would definitely be a disadvantage, rebuilding as they see fit will also probably tire them out and be unable to fight further. If this was a different being however, then it would work, a being that is so fractured that it needs to fold realities, merging them into themselves to finally be whole again, or at least just tearing holes in them to connect and streamline the parts to one single reality, while connecting every reality, which inadvertently combine them, thus making them united to be able to fight and at least stand a chance against the king sounds really interesting.
@@AomiChron Maybe, the idea come from where the scarlet kind gets it's power, it essentially gets power from living things and when something tried to impose order and definition onto it, so theoretically if the only things left were no longer human or even living, and if there was only one reality, the scarlet king would become drastically de-powered. I suppose an entirely different entities using the same theme I came up with for the reality folding would work.
@@Nyghtking Ah, I see, that's why you thought of folding realities, though I doubt the Foundation would make that their go-to plan, probably a last resort self-destruct and middle finger to the King.
@@AomiChron Indeed, so the idea was that the broken god would do that, the foundation itself wouldn't even really know it had the ability to do that since all they would have is some scraps of a journal from a high ranking member of the church talking about how even the completed broken god didn't seem to be whole, and speculating that it may in fact simply be a larger piece of the broken god that we perceive as the completed one, and if that were the case what would be the next step if even the completed god was just another piece to the larger god, or something like that.
@@Nyghtking But now you should've realized that in the process, if that happens, what about Yaldaboth? They were imprisoned by Mekhane via Mekhane breaking themselves into pieces, so even if the Broken God were to merge in a reality, they probably won't merge with the others, considering that in the process of it, will free Yaldaboth, if this was the scenario. Although you couldn't say what Yaldaboth would actually do, it'll be a bit conflicting.
The biggest problem with the Cult Mechanicus, I mean: Church of the Broken God, is they could potentially undo Mekhane's work/sacrifice. Mekhane's components are what keep Yaldabaoth imprisoned.... But if Mekhane's components are collected and reassembled, what happens to the cage....? Not that the Foundation really cares either way. The 05s' general plan seems to be to sit on everything and hope for the best; failing that, hope any one of their various reset buttons work.
Yeah, the Foundation might actually just be able to politely ask SCP 343 to undo the damage, or reset the timeline in the same way SCP 5000 ended from the data in the suit.
@@ДенисФедоренко-п7ю It's definitely possible. There's no reason to think that Mekhane can't just tell them to put certain parts in certain places so that his/her physical form is repaired and more powerful without needing it to change from a cage back into a humanoid body. If Mekhane can get the Church to do that, then we'll have the same cage, but better, and I think that that's something nearly everyone can agree on.

I'd jump onto the broken god church in a moment if I could. I'm severely disabled, so it would be something that instantly pays off, too!

But I am already saved. For the Machine is Immortal.

slight bit of information missing
the 10 golden crows were created by the god of the sun(idk how that happened), and the Xia dynasty used their 10 Xuan Yuan swords that had antimemetic powers to try to erase the crows. However the swords lost control and also erased most of the Xia dynasty itself. when people from the next dynasty, Shang, arrived, they had no idea that Xia existed.
So legit question since I'm not very versed in either universe, how closely related or intertwined are the W40K and SCP universes? Because this video sounds just like a faction I've heard of in W40K
yes, they are very much like mechanicus in 40k
Not really intertwined, the only proper reference to war hammer is a living piece from a warhammer tabletop game
Its a shout-out and inspired by WH's Mechanicus. There is no other connection other than Russians love Mechanicus and decided to make whole faction.
if there was a real connection GW would be copyright striking and suing SCP Wiki to the ground.
Thanks y'all for the replies. Cleared it up for me
For me, they are both different and both should be in their own universes.
Crazy how the church of the broken god and the sarkists basically want the same thing just two different ends of the spectrum
Same pantheon different side

Anyone wonder what would the Mechanites and the Sarkics think of the warframes in the Warframe universe. As they are part flesh, part machine.

So many mentions of the Scarlet King as an incoming threat, but is there even a story where he actually shows up for the fight?
It seems like the Foundation keeps trying to prepare for a danger that just never comes!
The preparations stopped him from entering our world :/
There eventually was a battle. He died to Doctor Wondertainment

Interestingly, there is an SCP that while not directly stated, it's heavily implied to be Mekhane containing the other god.
The Church of the Broken God are really similar to the Adeptus Mechanicus from Warhammer 40k.

the church of the broken god is just like the adeptus mechanicus/cult mechanicus

6:56 is there any relation between Saint Scranton and Dr Scranton?
Edit: St Scranton takes care of reality… Scranton reality anchors..?
Damn so this is where the toaster lovin Mechanicum truly got it's start
Perfect Timing I just watched The other Faction Videos just a Hour Ago
but what if the mother dragon as the chinese called it, is the scarlet king, but the foundation and anyone else who is involved with it classified the revenge seeking god of the flesh as something different, the scarlet king, as both groups that pray to him are telling the story in a different way, what leads to the daevites and the sarcists eventhough both praise the same deity to be on different sides in the end and effectively praise something totally different
Good theory but authors already said it is demiurge and church is neutral with WAN
@@ihatethatrepairmen4255 thx for pointing that out
Don't know if i'm mentioned it in the comments before but I had an idea for a 001 proposal that had to do with the broken god.
Basically it came from the someone saying that the broken god when completed would destroy all other gods and remake the universe, but the scarlet king is far more powerful then the broken god supposedly, so my proposal was a solution to that.
I call it:
SCP - 001: The True Unbroken God
The idea is that in every reality and timeline there is an instance of the broken god, when that instance of itself is rebuilt it then reaches across the borders of it's reality/timeline and into another where another instance of itself has been rebuilt, these two instances then combine together and fold their realities/timelines into each other, destroying them and preserving what they want to keep, it will continue to do this until only one reality remains and a single instances of itself is left, that is the combination of all other versions of itself, becoming truly complete.
Woah... Another SCP-001 proposal... I guess we're still on top of the iceberg..
There are basically 86+ 001 proposals

What if church just building an avatar for the broken god so he could rule humanity while holding back yaldy?
@@ДенисФедоренко-п7ю It's definitely possible. There's no reason to think that Mekhane can't just tell them to put certain parts in certain places so that his/her physical form is repaired and more powerful without needing it to change from a cage back into a humanoid body. If Mekhane can get the Church to do that, then we'll have the same cage, but better, and I think that that's something nearly everyone can agree on.
I wonder if there is any connection between the saint named Scranton worshiped in the clockwork orthodox church and the Dr. Scranton of the SCP foundation.
