- Zayne Parekh Scouting Report with game highlights and stats. Parekh is an offensive defenseman that plays for the Saginaw Spirit in the OHL and dominated the league, scoring 96 points in 66 games in his draft year! You are not going to want to miss these Zayne Parekh highlights !
Zayne Parekh is a 2024 NHL draft prospect who will go really high in the draft come June in Vegas. He is projected be be one of the higher picks and a lot of NHL mock drafts have him in the 4-12 range depending on how the NHL lottery falls.
Parekh also broke some OHL records scoring the most goals last year in his U17 season, with 21 goals. This NHL prospect will be fun to watch for years to come #nhldraft #nhldraftpros - กีฬา
Congrats on 7k subscribers man.. and thank you for all the hard work you put in showcasing these prospects.
MUCH APPRECIATED! Thanks for support!
Reminds me a lot of EK65. The crazy maneuverability, edgework, hands and shot accuracy at the cost of some pretty weak play in the defensive end and sometimes forcing plays that aren't there which lead to turnovers. But, those things (and the forward skating) seem to be stuff that are coachable and I'm sure after being drafted and working with that team's development staff that he'll focus on improving them.
Thanks for all your hard work putting these together, these videos are the best!
Thanks for watching! Appreciate all the support!
Your videos are a always bright spot of my day when I get the notification. Love the enthusiasm. We always get "Ric Flair-ish WOOOOOOO!"
And your signature sauce..."BOOM!!"
...or bomb, or baum, or bome.
Luv it!!! Thanks for the hard work.
LOL!!! Thank you for your support! Love hearing that people are enjoying these videos...that makes MY day! Cheers!
@@nhldraftpros BOOM!
Sanderson - Parekh going to be a nightmare for opposing teams
This kid is a mystery to me ? Does a team take a chance early on him or is he just a great Jr"A" player ? He seems to have a few concerns but are they things a team can work on with him ? In the end, right hand D are hard to come by so I'm thinking there's a team out there that will take a chance on him.
To me…
His only weaknesses are :
Not strong enough physically.
and : a little soft sometimes.
Both can be solved by :
-working hard in the gym
&
-a little meeting shaking him
& kicking his ass a little
Very easily fixed
Top 5 potential in my book. I could see Anahein surprising everyone and pick him at 3rd
Another banger. Love this channel
THANKS FOR WATCHING!!! Cheers!
love the content man keep up the work i watched all your video so good amn 🙌🏼
THANK YOU! Really appreciate all the support and the kind words! Cheers!
Love the channel! Keep up the great work. Your analysis is awesome.
Thank you so much! Appreciate all the support! Cheers!
Great shot. Great skating. Great game sense.
His defensive deficiencies can be ironed out.
What he NEEDS is to get drafted to a really good development team that can help refine that part of the game *early* so he can learn to put it all together.
YES!!!
This guy is like a hybrid between Ray Bourque and Quinn Hughes... his stick handling is simple maybe compared to Hughes and Makar, but his IQ, vision, shooting accuracy... Ray Bourque had the smarts and the skill as well
I'd say the difference is the temper... Ray was easy-going and likeable where Zayne is a bit chippy
But he's my #2 this year behind Celebrini. Absolutely love his game and think he has the chance to be the best offensive defenseman in the league.
Great vid. Can you please make next vid on Adam Jiricek? To bad he got injured during junior championship.
Gonna try to get a Jiricek video out for sure! Probably in May.
Would u be open to do some of the interesting prospects such as Letourneau, Brunicke or even Yegor Surin ?
YEGOR SURIN Pleaseeeee
So he's basically a Canadian Erik Karlsson :D : P
hes gonna go top 5 i know it
Leafs needs someone like him😢
2:00 his skating is so smooth he looks like a tap dancer 😂
LOL!!! Told you....some shake-n- bake!
im not as high on him as others. Hes not a complete player, 1 dimensional, like Bouchard, needs support from another to really shine
Yup! Definitely needs some work on the D part, but the offense is there.
You can basically say that of every ultra-offensive D
(Erik Karlsson, Quinn Hughes, …)
but it’s okay.
Don’t take him.
We’ll take him for you
Easyness, everything look easy for him and usually it mean he will easily translate to the NHL, not sure his goal scoring will translate but the rest will do for sure.
You are correct...so smooth with the puck and laid back when he moves around the ice.
He’s a brutal defender, like this might be one of the worst I’ve seen in a long time in a top level prospect.
Who do you think will be better axel sandin Pellikka or zayne parekh
Parekh by GALAXIES
& then some
Personally as an overall NHL D Sandin P....he's got that grit to his game. Offensively Parekh tho.
Parehk by far.
he's going 7th overall to the Ottawa Senators
I think he doesnt get passed Chicago if they dont draft #1.
I can easily picture the Hawks wanting to build a Lethal offense around Parehk and Bedard.
Welcome to Ottawa Zayne!
well i'd love to see him on our team but he def needs to improve his defensive game ..
Nah you’re getting Markstrom
Parekh is The Real Deal.
If the Habs get the 2nd OA pick with the lottery…
even though I really like Demidov,
I doubt the Habs would take him
but I tell ya…
if they’re not gonna take Demidov with the 2nd OA pick…
I hope they take Parekh.
He is Andrei Markov,
with the edgework of Quinn Hughes,
and the shot accuracy of Caufield.
Every stanley cup winner has a defenseman like this, an elite quarterback . Defensive side of the game is weak but its fixable to a level that his offensive upside will more then compensate. If you match him with a stud defensively like Ghule, your in business .
Ghule-Parehk
Hutson-Reinbacher
Xhekaj-Mailloux
Now you got something. A well balanced and physical defense.
Im just imagining a pairing of Hutson and Parehk on the PP1 . Lethal.
Would be a decent pick for Ottawa
YES!
Zayne Parekh highlights are always fun to watch! Question is...is he the best Defenseman in the 2024 NHL Draft? What do you think of him? #nhldraftpros
Have you done one on Buium ? I was literally shocked how wasn’t in the top 10 first initial round of Hobey Baker nominees. Some 24 year old 6th year senior (Sam Morton, literally a 6th NCAA season) less than PPG player got nominated over a defenseman 17 years old 1/2 his freshman season. Who scored FIFTY points in the NCAAs as a freshman defenseman. What a joke. No one talked about Buiums age like they talked about Celebrinis age either. Very strange. Maybe the HB nominee committee are antisemites. It makes no sense.
Yeah that was not right for sure! Buium played great into the Championship game. And YES I do have a video on him. Just head to homepage @nhldraftpros Thanks for watching!
@@nhldraftpros thanks!
He could prove to be the best player in this draft or he won’t be able to lift his game to the next level. I love his game and he if he were to really improve his defensive play he could be one of the best defensemen in hockey. My team is picking in the top four and I’d love to see them choose him, but I’m scared if they do.
Want the sharks to get parekh or buium
WHOS NEXT
Sam Dickinson or Liam Greentree...who do you like?
@@nhldraftpros I love them both but greentree
@@draftlegend11 Vote for Greentree! There's another follower who said Greentree as well...may have to drop him next!
A guy I'd happily watch other teams take the risk on
I had him a lot higher, but I feel he has dropped a lot. He looks to be a bit of a project, or concern that he can play at NHL speed.
Isn't he like the player with the biggest potential out of this draft?
Great offensively, but needs work defensively.
Celebrini = hybrid of
Jonathan Toews & Nathan MacKinnon
Demidov = hybrid of
Kaprisov & Datsyuk
Parekh = Erik Karlsson
So…
To answer your question…
Who’s the best out of that ?
It would vary depending on who you ask.
and it would probably also vary from one year to another
Not at all sold on this guy. Screams third pair power play guy that you can’t trust
Definitely some issues with the defensive part. Buyer beware.
Overrated imo
why?
@@Nai911he won’t be able to defend at the NHL level… not even close
So overated that he produces points to a level that wasnt seen in 30 years.
Defense is learnable, pure elite offensive weapons, not teachable.
Are you going to do liam greentree 6 ft 3 power foward
Yes I am! Him or Sam Dickinson. Would do you like?
@@nhldraftpros W !
@nhldraftpros I honestly think since this is such defense heavy draft you should help us parse through the differences of them all. Dickinson is a must. Greentree is also intriguing.
Will you have a Forward/Defensive list of who you think is best in the positions? Obviously more towards the draft, but I'd be totally into seeing your opinions on that. Plus, you HAVE to do a final mock once the draft slots are finalized.
@@TheFlizash Yes to all above! Will make a D comparison video closer to draft and YES to FINAL MOCK!

Would u be open to do some of the interesting prospects such as Letourneau, Brunicke or even Yegor Surin ?
All 3 are on my list. Letourneau will get a report, but the other 2 depends on how much time I have. Thanks for sharing!
It’s him and Lindstrom fighting for #4 on my board both have really high potential. Hawks fans like myself are sitting pretty😎
Can the Hawks land the first overall pick again??? Damn that would hurt a lot of other fans lol
@@nhldraftpros we are getting a top 4 pick anyway so even if we don’t win we are still adding to our already top tier prospect pool
@@ryanwasiak7050 YUP! Rebuild is looking good!
