Catton is one of my favourite prospects in the draft but size is a big thing for nhl gms just look at how far Benson fell last year, the Habs also already have an undersized skilled forward in Caufield so a big centerman fills a hole.
I wouldn’t mind Sennecke. In my opinion we need more skill guys and he’s very silky. Obviously he’s a huge project and I compare him to Tage Thompson because of his growth spurt. Best case scenario for Sennecke is that he keeps on working on his skating and grows into his body.
This list makes a lot of sense. I question Jiricek to SJ, he’s a bit of a gamble, but could definitely see it at 14. I kinda prefer Sennecke over him, however I think there’s a higher chance the sharks trade that pick either up or down. Would love one of those top 6 defense, or would be into Cole Hutson around the 18-25 range.
^^^. He's being way overdrafted at 14. at 33 and 42 you could get two similar prospects in Freij/Badinka/Emery/Brunicke/Smith. Can't see SJ passing up two superior F prospects in Sennecke or Bransegg-Nygard as industrious big wingers to put alongside Smith/Celebrini unless one of the top six defenseman fell.
I would also rather have Sennecke, but I trust Grier did his due diligence with Jiricek's medicals if he's the pick. Obviously the injury is a concern, but he would have likely been in conversation of a top 10 pick if had played the whole season.
I could definitely see a trade back to get more value out of the pick but firstly the Sharks I think are a lock to take a dman at 14 with only Mukhamadullin in the system as opposed to up front where they have Smith, Eklund, Celebrini, Bystedt, Guschin, Musty, Edstrom and Halttunen. So almost a bit of a log jam on forward and I think if Jiricek didn’t get hurt he would 100% be the top dman at this spot and I think he’ll bounceback fine.
@@loganglover3134 Jiricek's spot on lists was helped by injury, not hindered. He was awful to start the season and looked way out of his element. Forcing need over BPA at pick 14 is just malpractice.
Good Call On Columbus!! Thats Whi I want even though We already Have Mateychuk, Svozil and Knasko in our Prospect Pool as LD's but they're all Puck Movers!!! So No one on the Left Side Makes Sense accept Silayev and its too soon to take Parekh!! But... I think We Might Take Whoever is Left out of Demidov and Lindstrom depending on what moves we make before the Draft!! Plus Rumors are The Ducks Like Silayev!!
Yea, Columbus is really tough because they have a pretty loaded prospect pool everywhere except rd but as you said too early for Parekh but I could see Lindstrom or Demidov if he falls. But a pure big bodied shutdown guy would fit well on that dcore.
@@loganglover3134 Spot On My Guy!! I Don't think Most People on TH-cam even Look at Columbus's Team Passed Laine and Johnny when they do their Mocks!! Its Horrendous out here Lol
I think they have a solid enough D-core for the future with Mintyukov, Zellweger and Luneau. All three of those guys will be solid top 4 dmen in their career.
I am very torn with who I would like to see go to Anaheim. They would probably prefer a solid RD but if Chicago does take Levshunov Verbeek has up to five legit picks I can see him making. First off Demidov is not the type of player he usually takes. He likes big, skilled effective two way players...BUT Demidov's skillset may be too much to pass up. Besides, Verbeek was an amazing player and he is a pretty small guy, so maybe he has a soft spot for a player like Demidov. That choice would certainly fill the Ducks need on the wing. Most likely I see Verbeek taking Silayev or Lindstrom with Levshunov off the table, with maybe a surprise pick of Iginla and possibly Zayne Parekh to fill that high end RD. Verbeek can be full of surprises.
Jiricek over Sennecke at 14 with the sharks is fucking awful. You don’t pass on forward talent like that. There is zero reason to force defense when you pick again in 16 picks and in the start of a rebuild.
To me that’s more of a reason to take one now, he’s the best player available and fills a need, especially now with the new injury news surrounding lindstrom, feels like an unnecessary risk for a position they have plenty of depth in and he isn’t even bpa
At first I am thinking the same, but if Demidov interviews well and has no issues playing in the western US (Michkov wanted nothing to do with playing on the west coast) his elite potential may be too much to pass up. He is fairly small but the Ducks have loaded up with mostly big to very big young players. IF Chicago passes on Demidov it isn't out of the realm of possibilities the Ducks take him. However, I think Verbeek goes with Silayev or Lindstrom if Levshunov is gone. Demidov would certainly make the Dcuks future top six pretty freaking scary though.
Demidov is just too talented a player for the Ducks to pass up on in their situation, Lindstrom is amazing but isn’t as a sure of a thing as Demidov due to his injury concerns. His player type is also one the Ducks already have enough of with McTavish and Gauthier.
@@loganglover3134 I agree. If Demidov is open to playing on the Ducks and they like how he interviews I can't see why they wouldn't take him. When teams meet with him in Miamai in a couple of weeks it will be very interesting what leaks out.
The Sharks got 4 first rounders from your mock draft. Very good analysis.
Appreciate it man and the Sharks absolutely killed the draft, had the best draft in the league imo.
Sharks did extremely well
Not to mention Anaheim has Leo Carlsson as their future 1C... yeeesh. Gonna be terrifying when that group matures. Great video!
For the Hbas, i would take Catton, spectacular player and no injury risks like with Lindstrom.

Good job with the Habs picks!
#45... LETS GO!!!
Great video 😀
Brandsegg-Nygard probably won't be the only Norwegian first round pick. I hear a lot of teams love Stian Solberg.

I'd be satisfied with Sennecke for DET

Hey what’s the platform you are using here?
I’m using capfriendly’s mock draft but unfortunately the site is going to shut down in a couple weeks cause they were sold to the capitals.
Basha team mate of lindstrom makes sense but I bet they take Stiga

Anaheim needs defense there alo of good one in this years draft.

Wouldn't be surprised if Ottawa trades their 7th pick. However, I don't want them to.
Agreed they might trade it but with this D class it would be a mistake.
@@loganglover3134 Facts. They need to draft a right handed dman, and trade chychrun for another top 6 forward

Habs will pick Dickinson if hes available
Caps haven’t drafted a Finn since 2006

Ducks haven’t taken a winger in the 1st round in 19 of the past 20 drafts. The pick is either Leshnov or Lindstrom.

Wow, there is no world that the Ducks take Ivan over Lindstrom, but that was fun...
