@@SotEnjoyer113 Everyone complaining doesn`t play anyway. You`ll see the main audience for ABI is people that claim they don`t have time to play Tarkov......which is actually just a coping mechanism. If you have time for any game, you have time for Tarkov. They just get trapped in this idea of ~everyone is a higher level with better gear than me~ yet I`m constantly finding level 5-15 players even now as we approach 5 months of wipe. I run into more people under level 20 than I do people over level 40.

Now you can make "off meta" builds that are objectively better than "meta" weapons :)
Having no OverSwing is objectively the DMR meta if you plan to use an optic with it.

Big showout to DB4 tarkov dev, iv been following the app development for a couple years and always recommend it to raid buddies, it's great, the couple of times iv found bugs iv reported them or mentioned them in his reddit post and they have gotten fixed!
I'd much prefer if overswing was a more gradual condition rather than having this sharp yes/no situation. Till then, it's good to know we've got a place that can help us determine if you're going to get overswing or not. Thanks for sharing!
What do a overswing

Overswing is gradual... kinda. The... total degrees outwash of the overswing will scale with EvoErgoDelta(EED). The worse EED, the further to the side the gun will move. However the duration of the overswing animation seems to be mostly fixed time. So regardless of how far the overswing will move, it will always center up at the same time.
That brings on problems of its own. The real time until aimed I consider to be the time until the reticle is on the head of the target. So it really doesn't matter if the overswing kicks you 10 degrees or 20 degrees of target, because the time until it recenteres is the same, the time until it is on the head will be mostly the same as well.
You can definetely get away with a bit of overswing. At 30 meters I think -10 EED is just about enough to not go outside of the head. -10 or 0, both will have more or less the same effective ADS speed for that reason. However when you push 100 meters etc. the reticle will go outside of the head, and so you have to wait for the animation which is always the same time, and you'll and up having a quite horrible ADS speed.
And so there's really a threshold point for true ADS time which is dependent on both your EED and the size/distance of the target you're shooting at.

This system has pretty drastically changed what I build. Ideal builds used to be totally static but this really brings out different designs.
I use the App version and it completely changed my game! I can always get the absolute bang for my buck builds or just full our Meta. Simply incredible tool

Like the thumbnail says. Ergo is DEAD. There is literally no reason to look at ergo anymore. EvoErgo is the same as Ergo, just better as we're adding in weight and scaling Ergo correctly to how it actually impacts ADS speed.

That's something we've considered, however it's a pain to actually pull through and the results you'd get would be quite horrible. "Meta" isn't really a thing anymore imo, as you can now make builds in relation to specific ADS speeds. Your desired ADS speed might be different to mine. I might not be able to handle a worse ADS speed for example, and so I'd have to run high EvoErgoDelta builds with high recoil.
If you press on the little information icon in the gun builder page next to the reddit logo, you can click on a Full Explanation video that goes in-depth on how to make builds with ADS speed as the main factor and then maximising recoil to keep that ADS speed.
@@spacemonkey037what if i chose the caliber of bullet, and chose if i wanted more ergo or more recoil or in the middle; and a gun pops up with the suggested combo. What if we discover an all new combo we never thought of, such as an obscure dove tail combined with no dust cover that would create an ultra light weight ergo build

That's crazy. I have 4.6k hours and I didn't even know "OverSwing" was a thing, I thought it was something with the SVD and M1A you couldn't change...

Since forever afaik, at least the least couple of years. It was Giga's G28 video a long while back that originally inspired me to do the research to make the formula for overswing and now EvoErgo.

I tried building the exact same m1a you have showcased at the ergo threshold and it sways for me still
Could be even the ammo used. Ammo weight is slightly different between bullets so with a 20 rounder you might end up with a sizable difference.
You also have to take Ergo penalties on equipment into account. The website has it integrated by pressing a button in the top right to select your total ergo penalty %. Press enter once you've put in your number :)
You also have to keep in mind that the formulas used are based on in-game testing, not code stealing. This means that there is an amount of error to be expected. It's somewhere around +-2 EvoErgoDelta.

What I'm sorry about is that there is an incredibly passionate community to the point of creating such sites. Functions that should be integrated into the game with an "advanced" card. Instead, we have users who do their utmost to create these beautiful sites, including tables and guides, when then an update of the game is enough to destroy part of the work, just because "You have to find out for yourself"
Got really lucky in the new update as it made changes to inertia which may have and affect on ADS speed. However turns out ADS speed is not a part of inertia so the formulas are still correct :) Had me worried though haha

yea max strength is not helping you with that
Skills have no effect on raw ADS speed. So the weapon weight will still matter. However once your character is overweight the aiming animation is slowed down. Doesn't do anything with overswing, but everything just goes slower. So if a skill increases your carrying capacity, that could effect your ADS speed if your character would otherwise be overweight.

Sooo what is an overswing?
It's the strange effect that happens when you go to aim and the weapon is "thrown" too far to the left, and so your PMC has to slowly drag it back to center. This is a predictable effect that happens very consistently. Make a gun with overswing using the website and you'll see what I mean haha.
I've been playing Tarkov for a while, and I didn't do a Masters degree in it - so I had no idea that there was even such a thing as 'overswing'. Now I am torn between going on a dinner with my partner, or creating a Python tool to calculate the various negative overswing options per gun. She does not know.

2:30 - When you ADS and get your sight picture the reticle will be to the upper left of where you are actually aiming and it takes a moment for your PMC to correct/center the reticle. When you don't have overswing you aim where you want immediately. Overswing is basically on or off and is dependant on both ergo and weight of the gun. The site he talks about allows you to check if your weapon build will have overswing or not since there is nothing ingame that tells you about it, except checking trying a gun on the range.
It kinda feels like you get aimpunched whenever you ADS in a way.

@@umbrella4407 Slight correction. It's not really an "On or off". The amount of overswing you will have scales. You can have YES overswing, but like 0.1 degrees which you will never feel. The amount of negative EvoErgoDelta you have will determine how far the gun will swing.

Haha, yeah we're really digging down to the bottom here, on multiple levels.
So far we've figured out how ADS speed works, how accuracy works in tarkov (1 MOA is not 1 MOA of accuracy, the "80% headshot chance distance" on the website uses the actual accuracy measurable in tarkov), and how arm stamina works.
It's crazy how much un discovered stuff there is in tarkov. I mean, ergo is such a central part of the game, yet nobody actually understood it to this extent.

I think we're already at that point. For instance we've seen that the tarkov code for arm stamina has no coloration to the actual arm stamina you get in-game. You can see your arm stamina in seconds on the website Giga showcased for your specific weapon build :)

i'm all in favour of programs that mean you don't need to log in to tarkov.
The need to make a calculator to mod a weapon explains much of the problem the game has with wasting players time.
Tarkov logic: Adding weight to the gun decreases ergo. This game is a joke.
Man this really sucks, because your video is really catching me, and engaging - like I wanna know. But also i'd rather check out arena breakout. I just don't want to sink 15 hours min into gaming each week again. Did that for a year. Just can't bring myself to do it again.

yeah, thankfully seems like things are stabilizing a bit again so all that effort wasn't quite wasted. That being said the formula I created over half year ago and this was more so a matter of integrating it into a system that was intuitive and quick to use. The idea of EvoErgo isn't "new".

Whatever happened to the "play the game & learn".....
There are so many things in this game that are nowhere near obvious and will take probably hundreds of hours to really even notice if you're not looking out explicitly for something like attachment weight balance
You can't "play and learn" this type of things, especially when it has so many gun mods that are widely unbalanced when you look deep into the stats.
