Rock Shox Quadra 10 suspension fork. How to open and service clean mtb vintage

Probably the simplest Rock Shox Fork your gonna service. I think that the elastomers made of micro cellular urethane have been replaced by more modern polyurethane rodes in mine, otherwise stipulated as « kryptonite rods ». Rockshox BS.

Know this was old post, but to answer question. Yes one can still easily find elastomers and spring type upgraded.

ATBOY could you pls confirm the size of Allan key needed to separate the upper and lowers? Is it a 5mm? You use the term "number"
I am referring to the bolt inside at bottom of elastomer tubes.
And do you know how deep that tube is (what length Allan is needed)?

Hi, yeh looks like a 5mm. Can’t remember though from a year a ago. I’d say 20cm length should do it
