@@tiachu Nothing to be sorry about Tia. Just keep on making these charming videos and being you. Sure wish I could find some free book shelves as I am running out of storage for all my books. God bless and have a great weekend! You are the best!
@@soldier65vet :’)))) have a great weekend thank you for being so kind!!! I hope u find free shelves this weekend 😎😎😎
i used to be obsessed with the movie Stardust and i am genuinely so shocked to find out that it was a BOOK FIRST?! i didn't realize until you started explaining the plot hahahaha
HAHAH so many ppl including the author himself has said the movie is better than the book LOOLOLOL that is so funny
omg stoppp i've been waiting to see if ur gf was gna pop up in a vid. and at a sports game too, how gay ! y'all are so cute, i am beaming
AHAHAHAH this comment is so cute, thank u so much !!!!! THANK UYOUUU OMG I appreciate it so much 🥲💗💗💗💗💗 queer sports lovers unite !
Aaah, I was wondering if your sports companion was your girlfriend, or a coworker (cause you mentioned not having work). She's awesome in my book because she brought a sandwich in her purse to a baseball game.
Another 99 baby! Such a fun idea
i LOVE this concept :') can't wait to see future installments!!!!
slay ily !!!!!
such a fun idea!! I was literally holding my breath hoping you find a 5 star 😂
u n me both ozi 🫶🏼
1999 is truly such a beautiful year to be born into I feel❤
my fav has posted!! ❤
Wow, I feel epically old now. I was in college and engaged to be married in 99. 😅
HAHAHAH DONT FEEL OLD ON MY ACCOUNT!!!!
I was wondering to myself why we never read The Book Thief in high school if it's such a great book that's required reading and stuff. Well, cause it wasn't published until after I graduated. And now I feel old.
I just finished, "Before the coffee gets cold" by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. I thought I wouldn't like it but I got drawn in by its simplicity - straight forward story telling. What I didn't expect was the warm feel good feeling that I received and the neat tie-in of all the characters involved at the end of the book. Highly recommended.
OOOHHH awwwww!! Yes I’ve heard so many good things about it! Are you going to continue the series? :)
@@tiachu Yes.
White oleander is a 5 star for me too
😭😭😭💗
This is so fun, i need to do it for myself
this is such a great idea! now i want to do it haha
DO ITTTT kaylas videos are so entertaining i love these 😭💗
Ooh we love this for you (: I’m sending you love❤❤❤
back at u!!
@@tiachu 💜💜💜
Wow. Now I'm moving White Oleander up my TBR pile. I just found that on my shelf today and decided to keep it. Hmm maybe that is a good sign?
A SIGN FOR SUREE (pls check tws i think there are more than what i mentioned) 🫶🏼
Always like to see your views on books. It is also nice that you added a personal touch when you showed you and your girlfriend at a Dodgers game
I’ve watched white oleander but haven’t read the book yet! It’s sitting on my bookshelf and I’ll get to it eventually! Ps. Fun fact, you were born the year I was supposed to graduate (but didn’t bc I got sick). Took me many years after that but I finally graduated! 😊
Omg I didn’t even know it was a movie LOL. also belated happy graduation, hell yeah 😎😎😎
babe, i need you to start reading the synpnosis xD
😭😭😭no fr i also need myself to start doing that
"I Heart Robot" by Suzanne Van Rooyen is my recommendation for 2015. Loved the video, and good luck with your reading goal.
THANK YOUUU I’ll add that to my list!!
Ps: Loved White Oleander! Glad to hear that it held up.
You seem like such a bright and lovely human (:
AWW THis is such a kind comment 😭 thank u
@@tiachu of course, it’s true!🫶🏽
The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon is one of the few Stephen King novels I actually enjoyed! It's about a girl that gets lost in the woods!
😭😭 THATS SO SCARY I would self insert and be terrified I too would get lost in the woods (I’ve never been in the woods ever)
Tia ... Please may I suggest The Girl Scout Cookie Tag (I'm not a tuber, I'm a reader). Booktubers: Just Martine & Taylor Ann Wright & Graham Matthews & Another Bibliophile Reads did it. They all have unique smart personalities like you. I would love to see your picks. Thanks for considering.
OMG, this is so awesome - thank you for the suggestion, I’ll definitely look into it!! @justmartine is one of my favorite booktubers too 😭 What a compliment to be included with such good company !! THANK YOU🫶🏼
I’ve read White Oleander twice. It’s incredible and so so so sad.
u are so strong for being able to read it twice 😭😭😭
@@tiachu I have also read A Little Life twice. It’s the saddest book ever. I don’t know why I like to read sad books. 🤷🏻♀️
We're going to the Twin Cities in April to (hopefully) watch Shohei Ohtani play against the Twins. Though we're Twins fans in this house, sorry.
I hope you have better luck for books published in 2000. It looks like Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain came out in 2000, which I have not read and now I'm looking forward to picking up sometime. As for books I enjoyed that came out that year, based on a quick look at a list on Goodreads, you've got Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire series), Princess Diaries #1, the first two Bridgerton books, Stargirl, plus a couple that I read but didn't really enjoy so I'm not going to name them.
Yo, it also looks like you need books for 2013 and 2015, so I humbly suggest Crazy Rich Asians and China Rich Girlfriend- published in those years respectively. And then the rest of Kevin Kwan's books. His writing is HILARIOUS. You gotta read the footnotes cause that's where a lot of the best jokes are. I reread those books on a regular basis because I love them so much.
OHHHMG THATS so fun, i hope you have a great time!!!! ⚾️💙🤍 I didn’t know you also watched baseball :D
I will start with these suggestions for 2000, thank you SO much this is for real so helpful 💗💗
OHHH okay i will ALSO read those for those yearly vlogs, too!! I think i listened to the audiobook for CRA and will try out a physical copy : )) THANK YOUU
@@tiachu I'm not sure all those books have aged well, cause I think Gavin just made a video about how Princess Diaries is more problematic than you remember. But I re-read the whole series a few years ago, and I chalked up the problematic stuff as Mia (the main character) having issues and needing to learn. And we all know the grandma is problematic af, no Julie Andrews in the books. lol
@@tiachu and we'd watch more baseball if they showed the Twins in our state on TV, but they don't, which is really stupid of them. Who's gonna drive 4.5 hours to a game? They could be making ad revenue instead of totally shutting us out.
why did you and Anna Wallace Johnson both read this book in your videos this week,,, i might have to read now.... also this video was so cute! i must also reveal my great shame that i was in goodwill the other day saw a PRISTINE copy of the first beartown for 1.99 was like alright bet lemme go to the bathroom first and when i came back it was gone!!! what if that was my last straw
(also i meant that you both read white oleander and loved it)
I LOVE ANNAS VIDEOS I SAW THAT TOO 😫😫😫 thank uuu!!! 💗💗 and u know what, I respect you for not wanting to take your book purchase into the bathroom w you HAHAHA. THIS JUST MEANS IT WASNT THE RIGHT TIME.. I hope next time you find a 0.99 cent copy OR EVEN ONE IN A LITTLE FREE LIBRARY!!! 🫡🫡
1999 babies let's gooooo
TWINNIES
Great vlog. I'm old lol I was born in 84.📚☕
omg you’re not old !!! HAHA 🫶🏼
Haha it's just crazy how life flies by..I'll be 40 in December.
you and your gf are so cute ❤
March by John Lewis is a rec I have for 2013! I went through my read books to find you one. Hope it helps!!!🎉😊
Edit: Also "All Souls" by Michael Patrick MacDonald is from 1999 and it's a 5-star for me if you're ever infrared in getting another for your birth year.
THANK YOUUU I appreciate you taking the time to find a suggestion 😭💗🫶🏼
@tiachu Yay of course! And I guess I was tired because I have no clue what "ever infrared in getting another" means 🤣 probably meant interested in!
Did you just call maze runner a MOVIE. I thinkkkk you referenced the movie instead of book because of the visual you were describing but....
It’s both anyway and not that deep lol
@@Nothereforit174 it was a joke 🥲
AHAHAHAHAHHA I CAUGHT THIS WHILE EDITING and I was like oh jeez should I clarify .. BUT YES 1000% THE VISUAL!! I almost put a screenshot IFNGJEJW SO FUNNY (I love u martine!!!!!!!)
I hope you watch stardust the movie maybe you will like it
I’ve heard really good things about it!
