The urge to rescue as many books as possible from book sales to donate to little free libraries is strong. Then I end up wanting to keep too many and my book problem gets more out of hand lol 😅
I love library book sales! Last month I got 58 books for $19! I've already donated many to LFL and will continue as I read them! Mary Kubica is amazing! Recently read The Other Mrs., such a good book!
33 CENTS A BOOK!!!!!!!! AMAZING DEAL!!!! love that for u :’) thats great you’re donating them to LFLs!! YES I also really liked Just the nicest couple from her : )))
the part about finding bookmarks made me think about how lucky I feel sometimes finding used books with small letters to someone else written inside. if I find one with a note like that I grab it even if it’s not on my tbr😂 I just love having books that have stories of their own attached to it
NO OH MY GOD BC YOU GET IT. I once bought a poetry collection solely bc it had a love letter that was SCRIBBLED OUT WITH A SHARPIE on the dedication page (but u could still kinda read thru the ink ggpflwndxna). Fell to my knees sobbing in the used bookstore. Any kind of well loved or written in book I automatically cherish so much more than new copies 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 u friggin get it fr
I hope you are able to get into a better mental space soon. I hadn't had a library card for years. About a year ago i got one, mostly to borrow books on Libby. While getting the card, I saw a handout for Hoopla. I now borrow books from them on Libby and Hoopla. And occasionally physical books. Also, I have donated CDs, DVDs, and books for their book sales. Your haul of books is very impressive. Especially at the cost you paid for them. Very generous of you to donate most of them to Little Free Libraries
thank you!!! and YESSS Libby, hoopla, and if you haven’t already downloaded kanopy you can also borrow different media from your library on that app as well : )
HAVE WE ALWAYS BEEN BESTIES AND I DIDN'T KNOW??!?!?! I literally grew up with Geronimo Stilton, collected all the books, read them OVER AND OVER AGAIN through most of elementary school!!!
I think it's very kind of your that you buy books for the lfl :D . If i would live there, i would love to pick up the : Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind book up, since i am a Jim Carrey fan :D . 10 dollar for all those books is an amazing deal!!! Wishing you health. Never give up ❤
Where does it stand on the "bookmark alignment chart" to use the French flaps as a bookmark? Chaotic neutral? maybe? Anyway, I love to use French flaps as bookmarks. They're right there, after all.
I learned to crochet first and after many attempts, finally learned to knit. I learned to crochet from a book because my mom got frustrated trying to teach me. I ended up learning to crochet like a left handed person but using my right hand, because I was following pictures and not a live human. I also had weird issues with knitting that I ended up finally fixing because I took a class. So, honestly, my best advice is to find a dedicated teacher and pay them if they are teaching an official class (or give them banana bread if they're being nice and teaching you for free). But yeah, a paid class is how I learned to finally and officially knit for real. And I wish I'd been able to do that for crochet. As for the books... The Secret Life of Bees was weird, but I remember enjoying it when I read it years ago. A very dream-like writing style sometimes. The Hunger Games- HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THE NEXT BOOK COMING OUT!!!??? I'm SO EXCITED! It's gonna be about Haymitch's hunger games. My husband is a huge Hunger Games fan and has been talking about wanting Haymitch's story forever- and I agree with him. I would have rather had Haymitch's backstory before Snow's backstory. Coming back with an edit- thanks for the shout out, now I'm blushing. lol
LOL DID YOU TRADE DELICIOUS BANANA BREAD FOR KNITTING SKILLS 😭😭😭😭 that is so funny and honestly a win win for both parties. YESSSS NEW HUNGER GAMES!!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥
@@tiachu I don't even remember what I gave to the nice church lady who helped me knit a hat for the first time. But during the paid class I took, the teacher there corrected the weird thing I was doing to twist the stitches. But, banana bread is the standard thing I make for people who are nice to me.
I can’t stop buying books either. Also becuse if you I’ve been thrifting books more and more. I found the maze runner just last week thrifting. I also found a box set of the land of stories books really cheap and a box set of the Renegades series for really cheap as well. I also found the first five wings of fire graphic novels for my younger brother. Sometimes thrifting books is great.
Hello, New book fan here from California. The Secret Life of Bees is also a movie. The cast consisting of, Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys & Jennifer Hudson. Good movie! Highly recommend it! Thanks for sharing!
Aw, it makes me sad to think of a LFL that no one visits. I hope people start coming to it! (There's one a couple blocks away from my house and I always look in it but there are rarely any books that I just have to grab. I do put books in it, though. One shelf is for kids, and that shelf looks like it gets the most turn over.)
Is there a page on Fb for your town or one close by? Maybe take a picture and post that your FLL needs visitors! I only have 2 in my town. 1 is children books only. The other isn't but 3 weeks old but I've been there twice and dropped off books ❤
Went to a local library sale (the first one I’ve been to in years) and found Beartown, immediately thought of you :D, I was channeling Tia energy apparently.
Big city near me has a Sale every 2-3 months. Fill a Brown paper bag for 8 dollars on the 2nd and 3rd day of Sale. Do you knowwww how many paperbacks fit in ONE brown paper bag???? Lets just say.. I got two bags full and donated 20 dollars instead of the 16 dollars. Still felt like I was stealing from their Store. Lol

Most library sales are put together by "Friends of the Library" Consider starting a group at your local library. Also, you get to see the books first!
