Yay ❤. Whohoooo 😊. Let's go 😄.
im so proud of you tia!! unhauling books is so therapeutic fr
MWAH ILYLYYYLYLYLY
I only recently started collecting more books. So I probably will only unhaul like 4 or 5 Books for now 😅
A forgery of roses is one of my absolute favorite books ever! I think you’ll really like it! I’m so jealous you found that version in a little free library.
It sounds very intriguing 😊 What's it about? Out of curiosity
@@YW2324 it is about this girl with magic that can alter peoples bodies by painting. She is offered a job by the governor to use her magic to bring her dead son back to life. But she finds out the son’s death was no accident and now there is a murderer on the loose. It’s a super good interesting book!
@@juliacash8135 Wow sounds very interesting 🤔 m I'll have to check it out. Thanks 😊
@@YW2324 your welcome I hope you like it!
@@juliacash8135 I probably won't get to reading it for some time. Lol 😂. I have a lot of books on my TBR at the moment
Ariel reads the first page of every book she buys ❤ it's so true, I also started to do that 😊 love the unhaul!
Such a good tip 😭🩷 thaNK YOUU :-)
Ya I should do that sometime 😉
yesss I love Ariel!! 🏡📚🍁
comfort channel for sureeee 💖
Me- Proud of myself for unhauling one book today.
You- Post a whole unhaul video.
Also me- Purchasing two Octavia Butler books while I was at the used bookstore. Oops.
I'm trying to remember if you've said you've read any Sanderson or not yet, cause I see Way of Kings up there. I really enjoyed Yumi and the Nightmare Painter and Tress of the Emerald Sea, and I think they have elements to them that you'd enjoy. If a person isn't used to a ton of fantasy, those two are also books that I'd recommend to people who don't normally read fantasy. I haven't started Way of Kings yet, but it's on my Libby list. (Wanting to finish Wheel of Time before I start another epic fantasy series. Book 8 is next on my list and I already have it. After that, my used bookstore doesn't have book 9 and I need to find a copy. My used bookstore is better than most, though, because the guy who owns the place brings his two dogs to work with him.)
I fully agree with you about putting books into LFLs again if you got them from a LFL. I also pass them to other people directly who would appreciate it, and tell them to pass it on if they are done with it. And you hit the nail on the head when you said sometimes you just grab books to fill the tote bag, etc. I feel like that's why I'm so careful at LFL and library sales, etc. I'm trying to be careful to pick up books I actually do want to read. Ariel's channel is also one of my favorite channels, so I'm gonna have to also follow her advice.
Other notes- You're getting rid of the Lauren Weisberger book, and I have no idea if that one is good or not. But I did read The Devil Wears Prada last year and the two sequels this year. They are SURPRISINGLY good. The 3rd book is actually my favorite. I think the word "romp" is accurate to describe her writing style. And I'd also compare the levels of rich people doing crazy stuff and the drama to Kevin Kwan's writing. I'd give a shot to anything that Weisberger writes.
Ohhhh thank you for the Sanderson recs!! He can def have an overwhelming backlog for people like me who don’t read fantasy usually LOL
YES I also pass books to my friends if I feel like they’d like it ♥️ omg Ariel too is one of my fav youtubers I’d watch her do literally anything like microwave lunch LOOLOL
Maybe I’ll borrow her books from the library instead ♥️ glad you liked it!!!!
This is me when I’m anxious too. I literally just did the the other day because I was stressed. It gives me that sense of having control over something in my life lmao I am picky about the books I keep though so like to do frequent unhauls. The complete reorganization wasn’t necessary for me but that was fully fueled by my anxiety haha
you 🤝 me 🤝 reorganization for a sense of control during an overwhelming period of time lol (I hope you’re doing alright!!)
@@tiachu thank you! I’m okay 🩷
about to do a big organization and now i wanna unhaul too! been stressed w finals 😭
GL W FINALS YOU GOT THISSISSISS
Ah good luck ❤. You got this.
This is me returning loans on my Libby app haha. Why do I frequently have 10+ books on my shelf at one time? How am I going to read so many books in 3 weeks?? Returning books is such a stress relief even though there are literally no stakes involved lol
THIS IS MEMRNTMEEEEEEEEE
I keep buying books even though I have a kindle lol 😆..too be fair it's good to have the physical books to read on the Sabbath 😊
Loved this. I am also planning to do the konmari method in my own room soon.
enjoy it!! I feel much better after this :’)
People speak so highly of the nightingale and i see it in my local used bookshop, but am i ever gonna read it? Maybe not...but i might buy it🤣
MEEEEEE
I couldn’t get through it. I DNF if half way through
I ended up borrowing it from my mom to read. It was good but I’m not sure i fully understand all the hype around it. It’s a great story but I think it missed the mark for me. I gave it 4⭐️ because it’s amazingly written but honestly don’t think I’ll ever touch it again
@@rebeccalewis8537 I believe it's set in ww2 and those novels tend to be very popular if well written, but my ww2 hype kinda left in college so I'm no longer interested in reading more about it🤔
@@grff_ I usually love WW2 novels but for me this one didn’t really stand out
Babe wake up, Tia just posted a new video !!
Loved this! I am definitely proud of you. 🥰
HEEHEEH TYYYY
I really liked Green Island! I learned some Taiwanese history and really liked the main character.
OOOh that’s dope I’m glad to hear u liked!!!0
Reorganizing or decluttering when feeling stressed - I can relate :- D
Great job unhauling the 13 books.
I put Normal People on Libby hold on Oct 28 of last year. There are still 27 people in front of me
OH MY GOSH!!! 🥲🥲after that long wait I hope you end up enjoying it!!!
@@tiachu Thank you
Tia- Ah the margin is too small, its not spaced out enough.
Also tia- im going to keep it on my shelf anyway 😅.
I'm physically incapable of unhauling books I haven't read it's a toxic trait of mine tbh
this is so real and I respect it
Ya I'll probably have the same problem too in the near future probably lol 😆. Please send help 🙏🏻. Hehe
I’m sending you love❤
The shelf this book club is reading writers and lovers this month! So if you want people to discuss it with, you should drop in!
OOOHHH
Good on you for getting rid of so many! It can be so hard to part with books 🥲I just did a massive unhaul myself where I said goodbye to over 30 books, I just posted it too 💖
Ah congrats 👏🏻. Yay 😁
Hi..new to your channel. I loved "ask again yes". 5 of 5 stars
Oooh yay!! So glad to hear that :’))
I love Verity! I haven't read Layla and so far based on the Goodreads rating/feedback of some folks, Verity is better.
The Nightingale is awesome. 📘
In the Philippines, some stores put their books in cling wrap or wrapped in plastic so it won't be feasible to read the 1st chapter.
Did you know that Emma Straub owns Books Are Magic in Brooklyn, NYC?
I’m glad you liked Verity and Nightingale!!!! ♥️ and omg I didn’t know that :O HOW COOL
Great unhaul ☕📚
Most of my books are mysteries 😅
Hi Tia, it's been a while since I last commented!
How many books has Hiro gnawed on?
HIII!! Thankfully zero since 😎😎😎
I'm sooo sorry but i have to rant lol The Goldfinch was NOT for me at all, some comments from characters in the book are ?!? (read racist) and yes i get that it doesnt mean that the author agrees but they were unnecessary, served no purpose like mapping out a character's personnality or deepen an element of the plot so i dont trust her anymore. Also the story was soooo long for absolutely no reason, the ending was rushed, it felt like she was tired of writing it.
LOOOLL this is basically what I’ve heard about it HAHAHA
Ah interesting 🤔. Sounds like I've heard something about it before.
8:53 im.sorry but what in the name of everything bookish was that book description even? Lol.
😭😭😭LOL
@@tiachu That was seriously one of the most confusing book descriptions I've seen or heard in my entire time of reading books 📚. Lmao 🤣. Hehe. Whoever wrote that, was like, hmmm 🤔, let's make it all over the place or weird, ya that'll get people's attention. Lol. Seriously hilarious. Have a good day 🙂.
IS NORMAL PPL FOR ME? HAHAHAHS
YESSSS ILY
Why don’t people like Colleen hover genuinely curious
Her books are romanticization and glorification of abuse, her son was accused of harassing ppl and sexually assaulting a (i think) minor and when these topics were brought up she blocked them and defended her son. Obviously you're allowed to like problematic books, but people are very concerned and disgusted w the way she portrays romance (it ends w us, november 9 are some examples i know) so she's heavily criticized. Another less serious reason is she's just not a good writer and many people think you could only like her if you're new to reading and haven't developed good taste yet.
@@grff_ thank you so much
@@grff_ Ya I have zero interest in reading her books. Like period. I'm not a romance genre reader. But I'd probably settle for a romance crime novel. Not too spicy though
