    Update, July 2020 - th-cam.com/video/9GYPjBl_gWU/w-d-xo.html
    I no longer recommend Seicane based on the poor experience that I have had with the company, as shown in the video. While I no longer use Android head units, I have not had any issues with Joying or Dasaita and would have no problem recommending them.

    How come nobody says or shows anything about the 3.5 mm jack ? Whats it for where does it go can you bypass it or cut it off and use a different way ?????????

    • @5after12
      @5after12  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe I mentioned it. If you got a Sony or a Pioneer or something like that it should have a port to plug the 3.5mm into. However the Android head units do not have that. So instead of thr 3.5mm i used the yellow blue wire and spliced it to Key1

    Tks for the video! Why did you have to press the button for 7 seconds? I thought it came "pre-programmed"?

    • @5after12
      @5after12  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure which part that was, but there a preprogrammed parts and there is one where you can customize it somewhat. So if you had an Alpine or Pioneer you can just use their settings. If you are using a universal setting, you had to specify what you want.

    Only works on US models on Grand Cherokees on EUROPE and Australian models it changes your display on dash to German and won’t go to English ! Other than that it works

    Just bought this but for VW ... hoping this video will help me program it to my Android head unit. The SWC box flashes when I press the buttons but can't seem to get the head unit to register the presses

    • @5after12
      @5after12  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      is your VW android head unit a VW-specific head unit or a universal model?

    • @mattmartinolc
      @mattmartinolc 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@5after12 It's a universal. But I figured it out. For some reason the unit had a 3.5mm on the harness itself as well as on the back of the unit. I had a brand specific swc on the jack at the back of the unit but had to plug the PAC unit into the other one. All is working well now.

    ive hooked this up to my 2016 hyundai tucson limited so i could get sound through factory speakers and run my aftermarket subwoofer but head unit wont turn off with the car even when i open the door, do i have to program it to the car for it to do that?

    From READING THE INSTRUCTIONS, after you reset it, you don't have to assign any buttons, it's already done. They are preprogrammed for the factory SWC. You can assign custom controls, but once you reset, or pull it out of the box, the only thing you have to do is set the radio selector switch to your brand radio... You over think it... Or didn't read the directions, page 1, and again on page 2......

    • @5after12
      @5after12  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the video I say multiple times I didn't read the directions... But regardless I didn't want stock controls, I want them to be custom. I like to add a Play/Pause button

      @Rogue.Rider0 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@5after12 no factory amplifier. I bought the unit from a guy who had the Rubicon with a subwoofer system. So I think it's wired up for that. Any ideas what I need to switch around?

    • @5after12
      @5after12  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have the Rubicon with the built in subwoofer, then you would have the factory amplifier and it will need to be wired up differently. I don't remember the directions, but wiring to the back sounds familiar
