He embraces every sensation that is part of the human experience. He lives like there's no tomorrow because there's no guarantee that he'll have a tomorrow..but tomorrow never dies and tomorrow will arrive on time.
The points around stress should definitely be a key part of everyones lifestyle, especially in this fast paced age. I used to be such a highly strung perfectionist with everything I did, to the point of frequent burn-outs, which would obviously impact my health, my personal life and my working life. Since the pandemic gave me time to slow down, regroup and reflect on all this - I've reached the same conclusions. It's so crucial to be able to relax during a crisis, to become the calm eye of the storm, to stop catastrophising in your mind and learn to simply adapt to situations as they come at you, and problem solve the issues that appear in front of you. Combine this with living life to the full, prioritising having a fun, curious and positive attitude towards everything in life - definitely well on the way to having living like Bond, one moment at a time!
I now think of the Jack London quote at the end of NTTD as being the perfect summation of the Bond philosophy: "The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time." Figuring out your purpose in life and living it to the fullest, I think, is the most James Bond thing any of us as fans can do.
In this day and age, i think it's important to find healthy escapes such as reading, or being a Bond/007 enthusiast.. It provides another avenue of hope in a world that is stressful and often upsetting at times.
This 100% is the best motivational video ever. I'm in EMS and confidence and calm are KEY in our line of work because much like Bond if we aren't calm in our job then people get hurt. Our world literally involves fire, destruction, mayhem, etc so it's key for us to stay calm. James Bond and his way of life have been instrumental in me being good at what I do. Thank you for this video. I really appreciate it.
Great video David. My father just passed recently and my partner said i was handling it very well. I said to her I did my grieving over time as his health declined, but what helped was doing what David has said by not dramatising events in my head, not putting my father up as a saint, not putting him in a pulpit. Just having love for him and missing him of course. But I was not going to unnecessarily 2x ,3x or 4x the pain in order to feel significant or connect with myself or others as I’ve seen people do at these times. Your lost love one would not want or require you to suffer.
I recently got a promotion at work. Since then I have tried very hard to be the best. Everything I did had to be perfect but I have just realised isn't possible . I think I've got uptight and stressed about everything. What you have said has made me step back and think about my life. I think maybe I've become too hard on myself and expecting to much from myself. Thanks for getting me to think about things. I think your words and ideas about life may have helped me and I just want to thank you.
I really enjoyed this topic of living like Bond! My saying is "Life is Short! So live it!". I have complished a few things in my life that I am proud to have done it! I am a frugal gal and I really like how you mentioned having a few "Frugal Bond Moments". I don't have alot of money, but if I want to do something big! I plan it and I put aside the money I need to make it happen! It's a part of me that loves adventure and living life. As always....thanks for sharing your "Bond Experience" with us! 🍸🍸
Yes, Positivity attracts Positivity. 100% agree and one of the reasons why I love your Channel 👍🏻😎. As a Diver, I can confirm that you must help yourself first. Only then you are strong enough (and alive) to help others.
You hit the nail on the head with this one, David. Everyone of us can benefit from having the Bond mindset. You have articulated this wonderfully. I'm not a Bond fan, but I'm very much a fan of your videos. I find your content to be really fun and engaging. You have an infectious enthusiasm towards everything that you do. It makes me want to approach my life the same way. Hats off.
As a friend said to me back In January with a relationship breakup "what would Bond do?". I can honestly say, not just in good times, but certainly in bad times, I got back up and would soon ask that question. Then use that character who got out of bad situations left, right and centre, as a role model to get out of the situation I found myself in and enjoyed the moment more and what I could enjoy. No time to Die was a massive influence on loving one minute and then letting go the next, but enjoying life thereon and fulfilling it. Great video 👍
Great video. I agree grounding yourself in the moment can help with anxiety. I’ve always felt Bond knew that instinctively because before you know it you could be tied down on a table with goldfinger’s laser trying to cut you in half.
“Intriguing video Mr Zaritsky.” Seriously…thought provoking and profound video David. It’s a philosophy as you say. Spot on about the power of positive thinking. A fine example why I never miss a Bond Experience video. Always entertaining and uplifting. Cheers
Deep thoughtful and brilliant video… Very different from your usual stuff - but probably much more impactful and meaningful to many of us. And a completely unique look at some aspects of the actual character of James Bond himself that we probably overlook and take for granted. But which are every bit as important as the fun stuff and the adventure that we all love! Boy - Who’d have thought that this fun escapist character could actually have a significant impact on how we actually look at life! But you just did a superb job proving that he actually CAN. Happy Easter to you and your family - and to the rest of The Bond Community!
This is a very deep and significant video. Thanks for this, David. This helps put things into perspective and know this will resonate with me and others in a big and meaningful way.
Thank you for offering the viewpoint that positive attitudes lead to success and promote the best version of ourselves. We cannot be a light to others without first acknowledging that we were each given a unique blend of talents worthy of being shared. This channel is not only making the Bond community, but the world, a better place! Happy Easter!
Great video! So many times, if I'm hesitant to do something or worried about something, I'd think back to Bond and say, "How would Bond handle this?" And also, like you said, his confidence and positivity is worth emulating. I keep thinking of his moment in OHMSS when he's being shown his room and he says, "This'll do me nicely." It's that positivity that can turn an average day into a great one. And good point about it not needing to be expensive. It's enjoying the little things in life, a glass of wine, a piece of exquisite dark chocolate, a small trinket or talisman that gives you a taste of luxury and reminds you to experience life. Your video is a great reminder that anyone can use these mental attitudes to thrive in these crazy times.
Hey David, extremely well-made Video. I totally agree with you. Life is about enjoying it to the fullest and focussing on yourself. Everybody has goals and you should work hard to achieve them. Have been watching you for months now and I am already a big fan of yours. Being a bond fan means a lot to me. Since I watch your channel, I wanna dress up more like bond. Thank you David for those great videos that you make for us! Greetings from Austria/Vienna
I was very interested in the thumbnail of your video David, and I’m very glad I chose to watch it. Excellent messages mate and I take my hat off to you for courageously putting forward your wisdom to your followers. I agree whole heartedly with your words. Thank you very much for sharing. I really appreciate it.🙏🏻
David I really loved this Vlog! It really spoke to me on so many levels. I have been going through some challenges with how I want to be post pandemic....which to be honest will be the same me as usual....I do not accept "fakeness", guise, duplicity and extreme egos in anyone in my inner circle. I refuse to do that going forward, and I want to live IN THE MOMENT as BOND always does.....and I expect my inner circle to stand up for me, as I do for them, and if not - then GO. Thanks David, loved this!!!!
I’ve been wanting to watch this ever since it came out. Since then, I’ve seen it about twice…such great words were said. It was exactly what I needed, thank you David.
Many excellent points here David. The fact that you and many of us have this outgoing personality often suggests smugness, but it’s passion. If we weren’t passionate about the franchise we wouldn’t be able to provide the content we do. You do excellent work and you’re channel is not only entertaining but does ask questions of each and every viewer. Keep doing that thing you do.
This was great! I really enjoy this channel. I couldn’t agree with you more on these points. I’ve been a huge Bond fan for years. As a pastor, I probably won’t be able to enjoy all the things that Bond does. However, I believe that we should enjoy everything God gives us to the FULL! Thank you David. Keep creating GREAT content!
Something you mentioned reminded me of one of my favorite -though, more subtle- Bond moments.....The scene in QofS, where he takes the deliberate effort to kill the general who betrayed and was responsible for killing Mathis....."You and I had a mutual friend" I know this wasn't supposed to be the point of this video, but this scene has always resonated in a positive way with me and something you said, here, made me think of it......good video.
what about the ones who live like a bond villain one moment at a time? like putin for example. also what about ethan hunt (i know different franchise) but ethan's character is much more inspiring to me in the determination and will department and he is more human to me than bond and i love bond.
Love it David. What would Bond do? (Minus the assassin stuff!). It’s all about perspective & we are lucky that we have this stress relief valve (community, films, books, etc). Staying in touch with the inner child is key.
Well done, pep talk. I needed that. It is funny that many of these techniques I have followed in the past. Then you fall off the wagon. This has rejuvenated me.
If you have a situation that freaks you out a little, answer these questions: 1. What is the worst outcome that could come from this and how will I deal with it? 2. Here, here. Bravo! You are so right. My sentiments exactly! One must love themselves. Or how can you otherwise love others?

Magnificent David. This is my mantra. Thanks for sharing
You're the best David. You've gotten me back into Bond after a long time. I was obsessed as a child. It's ALL coming back to me now. THANK YOU
Another great one! Very thoughtful!
Great video. I agree grounding yourself in the moment can help with anxiety. I’ve always felt Bond knew that instinctively because before you know it you could be tied down on a table with goldfinger’s laser trying to cut you in half.

Love these Saturday afternoon treats. Thanks for the positivity reminder 👍
❤you have no idea how much you are impacting the community for the better thx 🙏🏻
Thanks. 😎 You did a great job of summarizing what I like about the character.
For my 54th birthday, I am buying a Tom Ford suit... can't wait.
This is a very deep and significant video. Thanks for this, David. This helps put things into perspective and know this will resonate with me and others in a big and meaningful way.
This may be your best video yet David! Have great Easter! 🇨🇦💪🍹

Cherish those small moments that’s what life is made of
A modern approach to stoicism is definitely healthy in today's world David. Great video.
Excellent thoughs on how to live better and not based on extra consumption. Thanks David!

The Tao of 007. I think this is a book you need to write. Wise stuff.

Amazing video, David! Thank you so much for your words and sharing this with us!
This is a really good video. Nice one!
Thank you David. Great words. You are an inspiration to me. Apreciate.
Great video sir. Many pearls of wisdom here.
Something you mentioned reminded me of one of my favorite -though, more subtle- Bond moments.....The scene in QofS, where he takes the deliberate effort to kill the general who betrayed and was responsible for killing Mathis....."You and I had a mutual friend"
I know this wasn't supposed to be the point of this video, but this scene has always resonated in a positive way with me and something you said, here, made me think of it......good video.
Such a great video to help build the mental resilience like Bond has, loved it very much.
This is a nice change-of-pace video and provides excellent food for thought.
Great video David. Couldn't agree more. Thanks for this👍
This shirt reminds me of something I saw in OSS 117: Cairo, nest of spies! The film has a great wardrobe, wonder what you would think!
Great video cheers
This was exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you David.
Great points made David.
Great video David! Thank you

Great video David .
Great message and mindset David! 👍👍
Some great advice!
Thanks so much. Amazing ❤️
What Bond do you consider better overall, film Bond or literature Bond?? I’m going to start my Bond book journey soon!
Love this ❤️❤️

Hi, how should one store a sunspel riviera polo. I just got one, it is my most prized item of clothing. Should it be folded or can you hang it on a hanger. Thanks
I just hang mine
@@TheBondExperience superstar, thanks
What I get is that a lot of people can actually afford to live the Bond lifestyle as long as you don't "own" anything that is a liability.
We know in Skyfall that his apartment is provided (they pack his things away when he didn't report in alive), the Aston Martin and his expensive watches are provided by the department.
Yes, with take home 120-150k year with no debt you can afford to rent supercar, charter yacht, drink champagne and go on holiday.
You can manage it with a different mindset really.
loving yourself is what makes bond bond. if bond did not love himself then we wouldnt have bond. its just impossible to pull of the swagger and confidence otherwise. you can fake it, but it wouldnt feel authentic
What you said resonated with my positive take on NTTD. Growth from angry person to one able to embrace a changed life and still be badass when necessary. Even though Madeline is not his grand passion (Vesper) he is ready to change for her and Mathilde, and to let that life go for them. Perhaps the movie got it right after all???
My job in life is to put others first and I love doing that. M.
David is a cool laid back dude, someone you could grab a beer/drink with and talk movies!

David, did you do a video on packing suits/tux/blazers?
regarding nestor's comment below me, which i liked. since we are in the era or multiverses and crossovers. it would be nice to have a discussion, a one in a lifetime event, a versus between james bond and ethan hunt personalities and philosophies we can gather from them. that would be interesting.
Relatable video. Aside from the sexism shit in the early movies, yeah I do try to emulate some of Bond's mannerisms either at work or in my social life (especially the Connery traits - not the women hitting or r**ey shit, the funny, one liner Moore quips, the grumpy Dalton traits and the sarky, cynical traits that Craig had in No Time To Die. Especially his lonely moments)
Let's not get to heavy here. Bond was a loner who was always on assignment and on the move. He met many friends along the way, but he moved on. The Bond was created by Fleming. That is the quintessential Bond. I enjoy the artists that reinterpret Bond. It is fun. I look to the Stoics and the 4 virtues for how to live. Bond is fun, he is the funny pages in the newspapers.
Great vid David. What shirt is that you’re wearing?
Looks like the living daylights 5 button long sleeve polo to me. Available from a certain cashmere retailer with a store in the Burlington arcade.
