Ben! This edit is so good… and not just cause I’m in it 😉 Seriously. Like you said, I’ve been way too focused on trying to move back on the board vs maximizing the middle. Thanks for being a great coach 🤙
Hey Jonathan, no thank you I really really appreciate you for allowing us to have a look at your journey as a great learning tool for everyone! 🙏 cannot wait to see how this goes and as always message me anytime for updates on how things are tracking and any questions - hopefully some fun waves at home for you right now!!🤙🤙🙌
As always thanks so much for all the free content! Your videos along with Brian's from Longboard Sessions have helped my surfing so much. Really great stuff!
Thanks Ben (and Jonathan) for this great information. I also love the comment about marking the board. I did that when I was learning to surf but have not thought of it since - haha!! All the best Ben, thanks again.
Haha it’s super helpful, I even placed a wax mark at my tail recently for a bigger board I was riding to re-calibrate my steps 😂 haha, always good to come back to!!
Okay epic!! glad it was useful, please keep me updated and if there's anything else I can hit on in another vid or clarify let me know, really appreciate it, yewww!!! 🤙🙏
Can be super helpful!! Specially actually marking where you want the front foot to be for both where you want it to be for trimming, and then where you want the front foot placed for turning - even more helpful in my opinion 🙏🤙
Its crazy but i have seen some regulars at my local move to hp shortboards when they were struggling to build speed on mid-lengths because they stood too far back. That and poo stance cause legs are too far apart. Some people actually think its a problem with the board!
Hey yeah I’ve definitely seen this as well!! Large part of this like you’re saying is just not fine tuning that weight distribution, so super important to know about 🙌 And the stance 100% - narrow stance in the middle a little wider when at the back!! 🙏🤙 really love the insights thank you! 👏🤙🤙
Hey!!! Are you able to put on the subtitles at the bottom of the video?? When you’re watching either below the video or at the bottom/top of the screen there should be somethjng that says ‘CC/subtitles’ and if you click that it will give the subtitles! I believe you can also do it for different languages as well please let me know if that doesn’t work how you’re wanting though 🙏🤙

Haha it happens to a lot of us!! Definitely worth refining the important fundamentals to make our progress down the line smoother!! 🙏🙏🤙
Cool stuff.
I imagine is wroth to mark the board thirds to help correct the positioning?

Hi ben, could you make some subtitles on your video ? It's easier for stranger people to understand

wtf is wrong with my life that Jonathan is scoring fun little spinners and I surf garbage for years at a time? go Jonathan
Ahhh a run of bad waves is painful!!! I agree though Jonathan’s waves look super playful!
Trust me. Brian and I deal with plenty of garbage waves in NJ hahaha
@@jonathan70242 Well, I'm glad you still score from time to time.
