JF Caron has been in so many finals that he deserves some credit. Guy is a monster.
He almost won the last one I belive .. he was right there then fell apart in last 2 events .. he deff deserves more credit about being one of the top guys for so long
@@paullambert7110 This WSM event was JF's best performance. He got 3rd. It was the only trophy he could claim from WSM despite being in the finals 9 times.
Just being able to SURVIVE all those events without being crippled is insane

I've seen several of Novikov's performances in competitions, and sometimes he missed the mark just barely.
Seeing him clear 1,185lbs was phenomenal. That was so clean, he hardly moved anywhere but straight up. Awesome lift.

That was when it was clear he was the frontrunner. He had all of the ingredients, youthful speed, mature great strength and endurance, and ageless explosive power! That seems to have left Brian Shaw, explosive power. It's negatively effected his efforts in all of the WSM finals since 2016.
Ya he's just lucky he was long monkey arms and short legs and a short wait. He only had to budge the weight an inch

Putting this out so late is embarassing. We watch the Shaw Classic the day after, and WUS contests LIVE. WSM is a joke when it comes to coverage.

Yes the world should know what it is missing out on! I got know about Strongman competitions like about 2 months ago and now I am totally hooked! Strongmen are also absolute gentlemen by nature! Go legends!

@@dasraubtier6265 send it live like every other sport. Strongman isn't some unique sport that is best suited for a heavily delayed and edited version. Legit every other sport have a live broadcast of their biggest competition.
This isn't the full version, it's heavily edited, you don't see every lift. Also it's a yr after the actual comp happened. This will not propell strongman mainstream

You know Kevin Faires is quite an underrated strongman😳
Yup, relatively new and he is in his prime right now. He is quite literally getting stronger yet staying practically the same weight, but certainly the lightest and smallest out of all the guys. Just looking at the comps he did this year, he is STRONG. Lb for lb, perhaps the strongest.
People really sleep on him and Aivars. They are both excellent and almost no one has heard of them
His grip strength is amazing
Case and point in my argument for @LarryWheels to take Strongman seriously full-time. Would love to see a 300+lb Larry Wheels going at it with the best.
@@richieewinns he actually has been in sport for quite since 2016 he was in 105s for while ended up doing couple of SCLs then ended up in open weight in 2017. Issue with Kevin is other than grip he doesn't have alot of banker events something he needs to improve on but he is brilliant causing problems
My favourite athletes are Oleksi Novikov and Kevin Faires.
Kevin is so impressive, a giant killer.
Also he won the squat for reps during Shaw Classic !

Listening to Martins talking about waiting for 2021 to be in it's best shape. I think we saw that exactly at the Rogue competition of last week.
His patience should be viewed as an example for all! Too many athletes hurry their recovery and in the process get injured again. Dude completely healed all the way and used the time to become even more technically proeficient and also acumulated a ton of quality volume with lighter weights, which seemingly widened his work capacity and potential. He was at his biggest and most muscular.

Wild to think that this comes up 3 months after not the 2020, but the 2021 competition. Almost a year to pull up a mediocre product for the fan to see, when Rogue, The Shaw Classic, WUS offers live-stream and/or complete product in a mere days. A complete disgrace for both the fans and the athletes, and one of the main reason the sport has so much trouble growing outside of the US and UK.
Bishop looks totally unassuming and moves unbelievably well, most deceptively strong guy in the circuit IMO
Novikov, Stoltman & Martins are the best of the best nowadays... Tom Stoltman being #1 two years in a row now shows he is THEE Strongest on earth in 2023💪😎👍
Oleski simply looks like he is an average weight lifter but damn he got some huge strength...as some strongman competitors their body is huge n it does makes sense where all those strength with those weight comes from..But Oleski is something else..he is the super human with all his body n speed/strength...phenomenal

It's so nice to get the British version. The American version is unbearable, mainly due to one of the commentators who seems to think that because he's been in a weight room, he's qualified to talk about strongman. Please make all of the British versions available!

@@SeliasSonne Maybe, but extra reps tire the muscles and cns. Unnecessary reps drain the brain and focus by adding to frustration etc.
@@pascalblackmore8098 you could see him gesturing with his right arm/hand after having difficulties with the 4th log. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case. Even by strongman standards, Brian’s hands are huge. He had such an easy time with the first 3 logs, so it’s weird that he struggled so much with the 4th. Anyone who follows Brian’s channel knows that his log pressing was looking really strong going in the 2020 WSM.
Always impressed with Bish.. power to weight is tremendous. He's so technical/efficient too.
Same, he has almost a more athletic physique compared to the other guys and can hang with the best.
