Wow! Impressed with Novikov's mind set on the stones. He wanted to win the stones for himself, but wasn't rooting for Luke to go slow at all. He was genuinely excited for Luke to finish fast and win the whole competition. He was congratulating Luke even before Luke knew for sure that he had won.

It is always easy to get emotional with Luke mostly. Man, his moment just gave me a ball in my chest , a huge one, that felt like compassion, caring, happiness, warmness and all the good and positive things you can say about that feeling. Luke , and his baby brother as he says happen to be my fav athletes in this sport because of their humbleness , it doesnt know any limits. Such down to earth people are hard to find. Two of my biggest inspirations are the brothers 100% Hope to see them in my comps yet!
The best part of this whole contest was Danny Wallace's comment about Gavin "The medical team taking him out the back, where he will sadly be put down.."
U do realise there is such thing as weaknesses Luke probably would have won anyway due to his high placing of the Log. Also, Oleksii dropped points on the deadlift, an event he is usually strong
Well it's always that way. No disrespect to anyone but in all competitions it's always battle again 1-2 guys or maybe 3 at most and it's always clear after first 1-2 events at most.
Historically those who come from Latin countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy and to a lesser extent France have not been all that much involved at ESM. For the most part it all comes down to those from Scandinavian countries, the British isles and Eastern Europe.
