Luck is part of the curse, a guy with such high potential, playing only 5 1/2 seasons. The Colts thought they were a genius organization, letting go of a legend, so it’s laughable to watch them crumble.

I always thought that they had their QB in Jacoby Brissett. And their problem at that position was two fold. Mismanagement of Luck’s career. Then dumping Brissett. Then years later when it looks like they have a QB of the future, he gets hurt after a month. We’ll see, but hopefully they have their guy in Anthony Richardson.
Pats may not be far off from this. Since Brady left we’ve been one of the worst offensive units in the league with our lone good season coming as a result of a streak where we played teams that were either injured in key places, bad, or had disastrous elements impacting the game.

I think Andrew Luck should have made the retirement decision before the draft to help the Colts rebuild more quickly. While it doesn't excuse the Colts coaching staff and front office from not protecting Luck better and even more inexcusably misdiagnosing the injury the transition still should have had a better chance to succeed. At least Andrew Luck was smart not to possibly become Drew Brees 2.0 on the labrum injury front. If Anthony Richardson can recover from his injury the Colts can silence the curse talk but the front office needs to get its act together.
He didn’t know he was going to retire at the start of the offseason. He had some calcium buildup in his calves during camp and just was so tired of the injury/rehab cycle he was done with it. He also doesn’t owe them anything. He kept them from being the worst team in the league and took a roster whose only good and consistent skill player was TY Hilton to a conference championship.
The Colts nickname is the glue factory for a reason. They seem to enjoy breaking QBs. Unitas, Manning, Luck, and they are well on their way to ruining Richardson. They need to flip their logo cause the Luck has run out.

Andrew Luck couldn't stand the heat so he got his ass out the kitchen. Andrew Luck's footballs also lost air but he was a lovable nice guy that drooled on himself.
Colts stick with Manning, trade the number 1 pick to Miami for a haul. Brady's only semi-kryptonite in the AFC now has a good QB. Maybe it would have changed things up for Indy... But in the end, we learned that Brady's true kryptonite was playing the Mile High City. 0-3 in playoff games in Denver. Manning rewrote the history between the 2 those 5 years in Denver.
Colts were a joke for a long time before Payton showed up -- they did have a couple of decent seasons in the 90s, but they were mostly mediocre. Different story while Manning was there -- he put them in elite category. Sometimes it takes a while to get everything lined up.
I think its more of them being cursed due to taking Andrew Luck for granted. All those years he was getting massacred back there and carrying a trash team and they never decided to get him any solid linemen
