Colts were a joke for a long time before Payton showed up -- they did have a couple of decent seasons in the 90s, but they were mostly mediocre. Different story while Manning was there -- he put them in elite category. Sometimes it takes a while to get everything lined up.

I met him at the Canadian open, I know multiple people who have met him at other tournaments - He is a great guy. He won that money, not Ortiz and he didn't think he was a good Caddie so it didn't occur to him to make a point of saying to his agent (who actually handles this shit) to make sure to pay him well... because he did not think he deserved it. it also did not occur to him to pay the caddie out as an precautionary, public facing measure-because he's actually a decent guy, and that's not how decent people think.

Between cutting Manning and booing Luck after his retirement decision, yeah we probably deserve it.

I always thought that they had their QB in Jacoby Brissett. And their problem at that position was two fold. Mismanagement of Luck’s career. Then dumping Brissett. Then years later when it looks like they have a QB of the future, he gets hurt after a month. We’ll see, but hopefully they have their guy in Anthony Richardson.

The Colts nickname is the glue factory for a reason. They seem to enjoy breaking QBs. Unitas, Manning, Luck, and they are well on their way to ruining Richardson. They need to flip their logo cause the Luck has run out.

I think Andrew Luck should have made the retirement decision before the draft to help the Colts rebuild more quickly. While it doesn't excuse the Colts coaching staff and front office from not protecting Luck better and even more inexcusably misdiagnosing the injury the transition still should have had a better chance to succeed. At least Andrew Luck was smart not to possibly become Drew Brees 2.0 on the labrum injury front. If Anthony Richardson can recover from his injury the Colts can silence the curse talk but the front office needs to get its act together.

I'd say they're more cursed for ruining Andrew Luck's career.
