I learned two things from this video. 1. That I can edit all pads in a Drum Program. This has been frustrating to me up until now. 2. That I can loop/scrub a bit of the audio at the end of samples. I've exploited this feature in the Korg ESX slice engine, and I plan on doing the same here. Thank you, great video.
@@Expectaz You can shift octaves on the Force, but you'll still have 64 pads which allows you to play samples from multiple banks at once & come up with riffs that you wouldn't with only 16 pads. Plus the Force can be put into piano note mode & be used as 4 octave keyboard.
I love my Akai force, but I do miss the unique swing profiles in ableton for bouncy house music. Is there a way to create unique swing in the akai force, rather than simply turn a swing dial? I've messed around humanise but I'm yet to create what I'm looking for.
Hey @Expectaz thanks for replying. I didn't realise the swing setting in the TC control panel would be any different to, for example, the swing control in the arp, but now that's got me thinking. I could use the move note function in the TC swing settings to move notes maybe forward or back by 1, for example? Is that how you'd do it?
@@Expectaz but does that not mean it effects everything? Because the I wouldn't really want swing on, for example, the kick. The 'shift timing' setting in there is brilliant if you use it lightly. You can get some pretty natural-sounding ryhtmn going. In ableton, I used to have my perc track and I would add a custom swing profile to, persay, the closed hats and rim shots, and that would give you that really natural-sounding bouncy house rhythm. Generic swing like on the force, just sound more and more samba, the more you turn it. It lacks colour, if you know what I mean?
@@michaelcolling5748 oh wow.... the penny has just dropped. The swing profiles that I liked to use in Ableton... guess what category they were under??? MPC. Yep. Go figure haha

Yeah there are a lot of these hidden small gems in the Force. Problem is sometimes where to look 👀 😝
Check your mail :)
I like how you emphasize the creative possibilities of the techniques you show, great video!
Thanks Anton! For me it’s all about beeing creative. So happy that shows!
Good to know! These series of tutorials are gold! Thank you so much
Thanks a lot Damiano!
YES! Dope Technique!!! Thanks for sharing, Homie! 😁🙏👊
Thanks for watching Dean! 🙏🏻
very cool tips merci 🥰
You're welcome!
There all kinds way cool ways to use the Force. This can be done on the MPC, but limited to 16 pads & the Force has 4x as many!
You can shift octaves but like this it is a little easier indeed!

@@Harlem-Instrumental You can have even 128 samples! Also on the MPC. They’re arranged in banks A-H which is 16 x 8 = 128
@Expectaz Yes, I know. I wish we had 128 pads.
@Harlem-Instrumental And 4 hands 🙌🏻

Did you try TC / Timing control and apply the swing there? MPC swing is famous and that’s what it uses

I think if you press “all tracks” after setting the swing it works great
