    Thank you for an excellent example and instructions. After watching many videos with circle cutting jigs options, this design looks best. After reviewing this, it didn't take long to build a similar jig for my trim router.

    My god, this guy has DIYed almost everything: a table saw, a drill press, a band saw. Very ingenious.

    • @alangeorgebarstow
      @alangeorgebarstow 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      His 'band saw' is actually an inverted jigsaw with the blade protruding vertically upwards. Kits to make these are available and they make a good alternative for those who do not have a large workshop. I was particularly impressed with his pillar drill.

    Been looking how to make a perfect circle for corn hole boards. I found my answer. Great video and appreciate the specs on the hardware at the end.

    I was looking for a simple circle cutter for a router but then I saw this amazing example of shop ingenuity of DIY power tools. Very impressive!

    I have never watched one of your videos until today. The homemade drill press was pretty cool, then I got a little worried when the inverted jigsaw bandsaw came into view. But let me tell you the fear that hit me when that table saw spun up! I don't even want to know how you power that thing haha.... My hat is off to you brother. If you have the skill to work with tools like that, you are truly a master.
    I don't have expensive equipment in my shop, some rich guys have super advanced high precision expensive tools but aren't very good at using them. I would love to see what you could do with the tools of a dream shop! Great video, I need to cut circles with a router and your jig looks perfect. :)

    Great Jig, thanks for the video. I like how you made wood pivots on a base for the drill press and grinder for use as a cutoff wheel. Great ideas with the wood!

    Brother I follow step by step each one of the works that you are showing in your channel. It is satisfying to see your production that apparently look simple, but that have a great use in the artisanal field. From Venezuela we support all that creative effort you give to each tool you invent that serves to generate ideas in others and thus advance each person in our contexts with what we have. Thank you

    THat is a very smart way to make the circle cutting jig. With this you could actually make on that allows for circles with a radius smaller than the radius from the center of the bit to the router mounting screws.
    I-m in for this one.

    Not only is this an awesome jig made out of wood, but the creator's table saw (1:23), drill press (2:07), and scroll saw (2:50) are also made out of wood.

  • @Troy-Echo
    @Troy-Echo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Great - the only change is I'd make the center pin longer so you can put down some tape on a sacrificial piece beneath and on the bottom of the piece being cut and CA glue them together so your router doesn't walk any at the end of the cut and dig into the piece you're trying to keep. Maybe even make the piece underneath a Lazy Suzan so you can spin the bottom piece. It would be easier to hold the top piece in place and spin the bottom, plus you wouldn't risk nicking your power cord as easily.
