    9:57 also lots of influence from Mexico's favorite toy for over 340 years, ball in a cup! You just toss the ball, catch it in the cup, dump it out of the cup, toss it, and catch it in the cup again. Its a ball on a string and attached to a cup, so theres no worry if you don't catch the ball in the cup. And cleaning up is as easy as catching a ball, in a cup!

    Yes use your knees but please use them on the catch, its more important then. Just letting the tama slap against the cups will make it bounce out, you want to coushon the catch

    Me thinking this guy had never done it befor 😂
    I really hope he has otherwise he's a wizarddd
    Also I've had my kendama for a day and I did this trick and I got it onto the big cup I then threw the ball up off it then as it was in the air went 360 round the ball with the Ken and landed the ball back down on the big cup.
    Really ain't good at explaining but I'm so obsessed and I've had it for a day
    Just continued watching and it's just like orbit but i threw into the big cup first then did the orbit
    Now gonna have a go at orbit ❤️

    My only problem with around Japan is to hit the spike. How can I assure that the hole is on the right place?

    • @MatthewNoel
      @MatthewNoel  7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Practice big cup to spike and really try to control where the hole ends up. Have fun!

    • @johnmclean7331
      @johnmclean7331 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hero Hendel when you pull up the tama push your Ken hand out away from you. This will swing the hole towards you as it rises. Then practice keeping the hole in the same position as you perform each catch. But as the other comments mention you should learn to break each trick down into smaller elements and then put them all together

    • @moodforanime6116

    What model is the first Kendama with the green ball? I’m very new to this but I read there’s different types on the Kendama website? Is the one you used a “SunRise Mini” or which do you suggest for beginners? Being from El Salvador, I’ve only ever played the basic cup and ball but recently discovered kendamas! And want to learn more before I order one! Plz any advice will be muchhh appreciated! Thank u!

      *@GoProJoe.* Actually it's lot older that that. The french version called the _bilboquet_ dates back from the 1570s, then became forgotten for the next 200 years, then became popular again during the reign of Louis XV, you know the guy who's son got his head chopped. The Japanese version, _kendama_ is from the 18th century, modernized in the 20th century.
