This was fascinating. The people were very interesting and knowledgeable and spoke with a passion. How wonderful this house is open for people to appreciate and enjoy
This is lovely, I missed the live version. Zac has been interviewed before on television I believe. I'm gonna check out his website for sure. I wish we all still dressed like this. Calves feet Jelly interesting from Paul Couchman. I hope you got to take those jars home with you. This was brilliantly put together and I loved the little vobing report from Julia.
Well done guys on the hard work. Interesting people you interviewed. That young guy is great full of life and you can tell he enjoys his work and I love that. And that woman was a bit lush. Wick wick. What a great place to work at. I'd love to work in that kitchen in that period. At times it looked like you were using a green scene. But that was the lighting me thinks. Thanks Julia's and rich.
Enjoy your videos very much. After chasing my family around East Anglia for years, I’ve recently found their origin in Sussex, Wilts and Hampshire- and that they came there from Jersey by the 13th-c. These videos are helpful!
Richard I am so happy the YT bots brought your Regency series around to me revealing another level of why I resonate with your show so much. I love your frequency and of course you are attracting people that match up. I'm Cdn and you are teaching me what the English description of lovely really means so Thank yo you and your guests for expressing your 'lovely' frequency. I agree with Victoria below more costumes lol
I love the savoury things in life...my father and grandfather, for example, always went for the beefy stuff...Paul's piccalilli sounds absolutely wonderful...is there any way please I can buy some? Dave PS please take this as an honest straight request...no Kemp Town intended...
Interesting or boring fact, you decide: The Regency period only lasted for 10 years between George lll (the mad king) becoming incapable of ruling the country and his son the Price Regent ruling by proxy and Georges death a mere 10 years later.
I only know because my wife is nuts on the royal family's lineage facts and dragged me down to the Royal Pavilion a couple of years ago, glad we went though as it has one of the most stunning interiors of any buildings Ive ever seen.
Just come across this - I have seen Zach strolling through Brighton in full outfit. The detail in his garments is incredible. For more trivia on women’s stays and corsetry see youtube for videos by Bernadette Banner.
Excellent film. I have visited this beautiful house on a couple of occasions, one of which included the Lovely Paul Couchman giving a talk about regency period puddings. He told us that suet was made from the fat that was found around the bulls testicles...delicious! 🤭
