You guys never cease to amaze and entertain me.I know the video is only a few minutes, but the amount of time to design and fabricate these ideas into reality has to be considerable!
The carburetor is a complicated peice of kit and you archived to build one out if perspex and it worked of all your experiments with showing how various parts of a car engine works this has to be one of your best totally enjoyable
Destin on “Smarter Every Day” did something like this a few years ago. It was a small 3d printed one and put on a single cylinder engine. Some awesome slo-mo with a Phantom. Love seeing how the “Wizards of Siberia” do it…..
This is one of the best demonstrations of how a carb works ever. 5 Stars! If you used some colored smoke you might even be able to track the air inflow.
Interesting to see how much fuel sticks to the intake manifold that will end up dribbling in to the cylinder after a short time - it also makes more sense to why you should get the engine nicely warmed before tuning a carb and why it can sometimes seem a touch lean on startup without any choke. 👍 Really nice experiment 🙂
I wonder if creating a hot air stove for the intake would help atomize the fuel better. Drawing air through a piece of sheet metal wrapped around the exhaust manifold to get the air really hot might help.
@@BlackPill-pu4vi Some vehicles sort of do - it's also mostly to prevent carb freezing too. My Reliant Robin has one that sits between the SU carb and intake manifold.
Maybe for the transparent engine, you could just make transparent cylinders by decking the block right above the main bearing webs and using long headbolts to attach it through the clear cylinder block.
a transparent engine is impossible imo due to the lack of required tensile strength. it might work if you made it out of sapphire, but the cost would be obscene.
Great job as usual, Gentleman! I wonder if running a stiff wire brush in a crosshatch pattern through the intake manifold runners before they were assembled could help atomization. The intake would lose a considerable amount of vision, but this modification should help keep the runners a bit more dry and get more fuel into the cylinders. Thank you fellows for your efforts.
Add lights to make it glow, and if you make them complicated enough, you could have them change colour based on the engine revs, like green for low RPMs, red for high... :P
that was great so fix the leak drill a hole in the center to mount the air cleaner (one does need an air filter) then take it out for a test spin around your garage or on your test track
Incrivelmente legal!!!!!!! VOCÊS TEM QUE FAZER um motor 100% transparente, com o bloco transparente! E COLOCAR todo o resto transparente, vocês são TOPS@!

That's pretty darn impressive. Making a carb might not be so hard, but making a carb that works decently is much harder. I rode motorcycles for years that didn't have accelerator pumps, you just have to feed throttle slower. You might want to consider dying the gas red for your next tests.
I've worked on carbs for decades but thats the first time I've seen whats happening in real time.
Really interesting and cool.
This absolutely blew my mind! Plus you can milk this project for a 2nd video with the carburetor under load on a test drive!
It's really clear to me now!
@@jwalster9412 well played

I am convinced, You guys can build a whole car from scratch....
That's just what men do 😂
Next Challenge!!! Whole car from scratch!!
And it would run if it was 70c above or 70c below. Because Russia!
@@DriftingkalamariIt will look a lot like the cars from the early 1900s but absolutely they can do it
@@dennis-nz5im-70c? Not on gasoline it wont 😂

U love how much the idle changes goign for normal- to rich- to lean AFR. You can hear it change as he ajuats it.
Best video ever! Very awesome to see how the carburetor is actually working!
That was cool, you guys are always amazing me with what you can design and come up with.
How are these guys able to crank out so many good videos? Like I can always count on them for new content almost daily.
Daily? They release on youtube a couple of times a week by the looks of it.
This is so cool! This would be a great tool to show mechanic-students how a carb works
Venturi, Bernulli, it's all 107 percent good. Great video (V)lads!
Great job fellers... love your antics
I’m convinced this guy’s are automotive geniuses!! They can built anything out anything! Amazing!👌😂👍

Also, why having dimples or casting texture is better than smooth intake runners. The textured surface actually helps atomize the fuel better.
@@Oink_Blaster yeah I thought that when Vlad was on about polishing the inside - trouble is it wouldn't be as good for viewing.

Awesome but where is the test drive!?
That carburetor is a work of art! Great job!
Pretty sweet. Surprised the material stood up to the gas
8:06 Bernoulli's principle but that is called the Venturi effect.
To be fair, that might be what they call it over there

Transparent everything
Always something new and interesting! What a great lesson for your crew...
Garage 54 in 2053 "We make a transparent rocket powered lada and ride it to the moon"
I've been binge watching Garage 54 for 2 days now and I'm surprised at how early I am to this video hahaha
We need that 2 stroke to work

Interesting. Shows how important the stoki ratio is. Also illustrates well what your carb really is doing.

Coolest project in a while Vlad! Great job man 👍 venturi effect I believe
Awesome video guy's. You guys always come up with something unique. Cheers 🍻
That was some of the most amazing machine work and an awesome demonstration of that carb actually working . Great job and video.
drive it sounds like it's running great
What you need is coloured air going into the top of the carburettor for air flow 😊😊
I hear that Air Dye is pretty expensive tho :(
Please do a video where you see how well the car drives using the transparent carby. Good work guys!
Been done before, but, always great to see it.
They just get more and more incredible! Amazing.
They are russians very smart people
Solid!
Top KEK!
Peace be with you.
Yessssss! Vlad and his team
Love it brother! Great job!!

Garage 54 (and BMI Russian) are probably the best auto shop teachers in the world.
I would love to spend a day or three with Vlad and the boys!

This was fantastic!
The engine ran exceptionally well with that carbie for sure
This channel has the perfect mix of mad science and legit science.
That see thru carburetor is really cool
It’s the Venturi effect 👍, you guys are awesome!!!
@8:14. Venturi* effect based on the bernoulli principle
I wait for it! Thanks guys

Do you guys get your ideas when eating mushrooms?
Great job
Great video as always. Love from USA
That was super interesting guys...nice job!
One step closer to an entire transparent car.
Wow that runs really well, v impressive.
That was really cool!
You guys are amazing, I think one day you will be able to start a car with just water
Keep up the good work
Great job. you teach me. how work carburetor gas path tube inside carburetor awesome !
Would be awesome if you could do a milage test from stock carburetor to ur new carburetor
Ran pretty good.
We're all waiting for a car with all the successful transparent parts installed.

Totally SEE through car from the engine to the rear axle
great video!
Use colored smoke in order to see the air in the carburetor!
This is just amazing. You said you think it's the Bernoulli effect. I think it's venturi effect? Not sure who's right.
You did great
8:07 Venturi effect, not Bernoulli.
Smart and interesting dude.
Very Cool! Excellent job Guys!
How's about a blower and nitro injection on a stock lada engine ,, that would be great to see
Boss you are the best. Love you
Easiest way to troubleshoot a carb! Make it see through!😂
How about making a clear fuel injection manifold and rail. I know it is much higher pressure than a carbuetor. But it would be cool to see!
I was thinking the same thing! That would be fun even if it failed because it'd teach a lot about how the system works
GOOD JOB!
Nice.. you can ad some colored smoke to see the air going
Ideas transparent a radiator and or intake manifold
I was waiting for the drive lol
Hey there fellas, very cool transparent carb video, Vlad, why are you filming in your pyjamas?😆 😳👍
Brilliant
I want to see that lada on a dyno with transparent carb and The intake
