Whats a typical work day for a pilot ? What off days do you get? And is it true that the air force is trying to stop the PCS for pilots for rentainment?

typical Air Force answer, it depends. the airframe type, maintenance, budget, political environment, etc. all affect flying training and operations tempo.
the Air Force will always struggle to retain pilots while there is higher pay and perceived better quality of life on the outside.
