and Welcome to "Prawns with Bilimbi" Special Episode of @RedSoilStories
It was a beautiful day, Pooja was going to pluck some Bilimbi from a farm of our friend near our home, Bilimbi is an edible tropical fruit scientifically known as Averhhoa Bilimbi. Other common names include cucumber tree, tree sorrel etc. Bilimbi possesses antidiabetic, antihypertensive, antithrombotic, hypolipidemic, hepatoprotective, anticancer, and wound healing effects due to its strong antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.
Pooja brought a lot of Bilimbis, and decided to make some unique recipe with it, She had also brought prawns in the morning and She decided to cook "Prawns with Bilimbi" a unique and rarely made recipe.
When she returned home I was sitting in the veranda having some water as I had gone to help one of our neighbor, Pooja made a quick Bilimbi juice, we both enjoyed it and I went to the farm while Pooja started Preparing Prawns with Bilimbi ( बिंबलातली कोळंबी ), She also prepared a spicy Bilimbi Pickle and went to give some of it to our aunty (maami).
Meanwhile I returned home and we both enjoyed the "Prawns and Bilimbi" lunch together.

अप्रतिम पदार्थ केलेत.विशेषतः सरबत छान वाटलं.मोगली आज्ञाधारक दिसतो. तुमच्यासोबत राजा आणि मोगली दोघांनाही बघायला खूप बरे वाटते. Wonderful episode!!

Here in Mauritius we also called it bilimbi but we never cook curry with it we put archard believe me it's so delicious ❤
