- The Topeak Omni Toolcard is a NEXT LEVEL Multi-Tool!
After fumbling around with a standard multitool for months while traveling by bike, I'd been searching for other options. I needed something closer to standard workshop allen keys/hex wrenches, but with the portability of a multi-tool.
I stumbled across the Omni Toolcard completely by accident and thought I should share it with you guys!

This is the multi-tool that I've been searching for!
What's your ideal multi-tool?
Daysaver Essential8 & Coworking5 Bundle is my favourite multi-tool.
For me I prefer the Topeak RATCHET ROCKET LITE NTX+ but ... as you say, the bits will come loose. Has to be kept inside something else.
It's a handy dandy little gadget. Topeak come up with some good stuff.
It's nice and compact.
Yeah mate! They absolutely do and always reasonably priced too!
I obsess about which multitool or multitools to put into the tool kit. I've got all together too many....
Hahaha, relatable!
@@VeloObscura damn you!! It's already on the credit card. I blame you!!
Ahahahaha, no way!
Well, you'll enjoy using the tiny ratchet. It's really satisfying!
I’m a new rider can you please make a video on all the tools that I need/should have with me on a bike tour I’m learning to work on my bike myself
I will probably make a video about the tools that I carried on our last tour at some point and hopefully an updated one with what I'm carrying these days.
What to carry on a tour is sort of complicated because it all depends on the tour. How remote you are going, what your mechanical skill level is etc etc.... I'll try and come up with something though!
Thank You 😁
3:34 Could you not use the bits on the end of the ratchet tool (at the end of handle) for this? L shaped allen wrenches seem unneccary. The 6mm allen key might be needed if you want extra leverage.
I find it much easier with the L shaped Allen key. 👍
I wanted to say "topeak hexus", but current hexus has the same short allen keys as most multitools these days. So I will recommend Pedro's ICM-15 Multitoo, it has lon hex wrenches, chaintool, decent tire levers, and, most importantly, it is narrow, if you remove tire levers. With Omni Toolcard, i just dont get why you need those rachets for, when you have nice long allen keys, and why it doesn't include chaintool instead, to be perfect solution.
The ratchet rocket is quite good, I've never had bits come loose in the wallet thingy. But Topeak bits are bad quality. I've broken multiple of their 8mm hex bits trying to loosen a SRAM Dub crankset and warped a couple 25mm torque bits just trying to tighten some screws to spec.
Interesting. I'm surprised you didn't break the ratchet itself by using it in a high-torque application like a bottom bracket! I don't think I'd ever do that, but if they're made from the same metal that the regular hex keys are, then that could be problematic!
Thanks for commenting!
I'd use a proper workshop tool for high torque applications.. like a big 8mm L WRENCH or an impact 6 and 8 mm on a 1/2 inch socket wrench..
While micro and mini ratchets are convenient, they are good for on road repair
