But not for long trips. It’s a stoplight to stoplight bike in my opinion. I ride more than you on three continents with a GS Adv here and a T700 in France. You can’t ride that thing for 17 hours. It’s a TENS unit

@@robertlee8042I’ve ridden my Diavel 15 hours, it can be done on any bike but the faster bike will get you there quicker. I average 180km/h on long stretches of the highway. I can’t do that on a GS. I previously did it on a Busa , that was great but this will be better. I’m a fan of in-line 4 engines.

I worked my way up to this type of motorcycle to truly appreciate this fine piece of German engineering. she's more than just beautiful 😍 motorcycle...to me, with features like auto hill assist, heated grips, active corrective suspension, rider modes, customizable dynamic pro access, cruise control, active cornering lighting system...just to name a few. I haven't even started to talk about her heart....that amazingly powerful 4 cylinder engine of hers absolutely has to be respected by all who dawns a helmet to ride her. She has the heart ❤️ of Lioness... Respect her Bite. Ride 💪 strong

@@Revviews I understand your point as a previous owner of the bike, you be expecting to grab the latest model, it’s only natural, but I know for a fact that in the end of next year they will bring to the market a total new GS (the big trail one) but it doesn’t mean that they will do the same for the XR at the same time. I think that is not very probable to happen.
I ordered the pack M. Version in white. I’m counting the days😬
I had the 2021 SDGT that I’m giving up for the XR. The engine was awesome but it was not reliable about some electronic faults, so I had to let her go. 👌

      What an excellent video!
I had a SDGT, but unfortunately because I wanted something suitable to go on touring with a pillion and because I wanted to get a better technical assistance for the bike I had to sell it…So, now I’m looking for a bike to fill that void a true motorcycle emptiness.
That is like so, because I want also a machine to be sporty, that is possible to carry some luggage.

Great video. I've just taken delivery of an S1000XR M Spec. Last bike was a 1260S Multistrada. The Ducati is an awesome machine and has much more mid-range punch, but the XR has a much more refined gearbox and quick-shifter and is somehow more fun as you can rev that glorious engine until you laugh out loud in your lid! Despite being 6' tall, I went for the lower suspension as to me the bike felt just a tad sharper and more sporty being slightly less tall. Hopefully the start of a great relationship.

      Hi Roel,
Sure happy to help. These newer XRs have has software tweaks that have improved fuelling mainly. My 2021 XR (did a few videos on) had some fuel issues and pickup wasn't great low down. These new ones will never be a Twin beater but you do get better pickup and smoother delivery than before. 100% worth a long test ride first but for me they were the changes that were needed.
That being said.... have you seen the upcoming M1000XR.... 👀 now that will be fun.
Fun enough that I might well go back to an XR.
The rest on the normal XR is just so good anyway it only needed minor tweaks.
If buying used to thoughtly test the gearbox. 1st to second as some folks did trash them. But should be fairly bulletproof in most areas.
