    Can I do this with fondant or does it only work with sugar paste?

    • @cakecraftworld
      @cakecraftworld  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Andrei, sugarpaste and fondant are the same thing. However, to make these roses you need something stronger. We recommend our perfect paste which is the right blend of sugarpaste (fondant) and modelling paste: www.cakecraftworld.co.uk/shop/products/Sattina-Perfect-Paste.htm otherwise, simply mix modelling paste with fondant (sugarpaste). Good luck!

    • @cakecraftworld
      @cakecraftworld  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ebony94😉 Hi there, if you want another colour for your roses, just use a different colour sugarpaste, have a look at our range of colours here www.cakecraftworld.co.uk/shop/8/1005/903/ Alternatively, you can use white sugarpaste and white modelling paste mixed together and colour yourself using paste colours, see our range here www.cakecraftworld.co.uk/shop/8/104/123/ Hope this helps!

      If you buy a 250g pot of this 'perfect' paste you should have more than enough...www.cakecraftworld.co.uk/shop/products/Sattina-Perfect-Paste.htm (this is a 50/50 mix of sugarpaste and modelling paste). Just make sure to roll the paste to 1-2mm thick. Hope this helps, thanks

For some reason I did not get instructions with mine, but now I know how to use it. I already have the ball tool, so it's back to having another go, and getting it right this time LOL Many thanks.

    Amazing, can you use just sugar paste?

    • @cakecraftworld
      @cakecraftworld  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, you could but you won't be able to roll the sugarpaste as thinly and you would end up with a chunkier rose (it is likely to be more difficult as well). By using modelling or flower paste, you can roll it thinner and as the paste is more pliable it will be much easier and give you a much more delicate rose.

      Sugar paste is another term for fondant. Modeling paste is gum paste. She combined the two so it would be pliable like fondant when dry yet hold its shape better with the gum paste.

    My Rose Cutter came yesterday. Today I am playing with it. I never thought I could create such beautiful roses and so quickly. I asked below about using modeling chocolate. I couldn't get the chocolate alone thin enough without it tearing, so I mixed the chocolate with fondant. It works beautifully! Thank you for creating this simple yet effective tool and showing us how to use it. God bless.

    I love this cutter. I have made multi colored roses using orange and yellow. I did one cut out orange then another yellow. I then cut those in half length wise and used the edible glue to fasten to the opposite. I used the roller to make sure there was a good bond between the two. Then I began the rolling and fold down process. They turned out BEAUTIFUL!!!
