Seven Days a fantastic song not played live very often I was lucky to see Bob perform it in the Liverpool Empire Theatre 27th June 1996 he did two nights I was lucky enough to have attended both.....IMHO the nighties were / are a high point on Bobs touring journey
Yeah ! Early take of a marvelous song that Bob gifted to Ron Wood who also did a really rollickin’ good version. Great and compelling the complete lyrics in later performances. Rockabilly deluxe ! 🎼🎸🎶⚡️🔥🎶🪬🌘
On the Ron Wood album Gimme some Neck. The album almost sounds like a companion to Street Legal. Recorded at the same time, feels like Bob and Ron were tuned in with each other.
@@threeleggedman Ron does a great live version of it on the 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration. Also. I wonder why nobody took notice of Joe Cockers version on his Album Sheffield Steel (1982)
Coincidental, maybe, but I just played Ron’s album a few nights ago. I’m sure Siri was listening. It’s written in one of Dylan’s biographies (B. Spitz) that Bob wrote this just before he showed up for Ron’s studio session. It’s cool to think this is Bob showing the song to Ron for the first time.
i was standing looking at couple of paintings called “the woodsman” by baselitz in an exhibition in london . they clearly had some philosophical content ( whole lengths of the trunks were missing into thin air ,but the trees were still standing above the gaps ) and my head was getting over heated as i was trying imagine the meaning ,in exasperation i turned my whole head to the left to get them out of my brain . to my amazement i looked straight into the eyes of Ronnie!! after i blurted out said “dylan gave you my favourite Dylan song , seven days “ he seemed happier to talk to me . I still not sure that really happened !.
This is NOT a studio version. It's from a gig and appeared on the CBS Bootleg series. I covered it on my MCA solo album, before the guy from the Stones did it.
Ohhh my dont we love ! Silly i love head pieces hats too ,and i just love ❤️ you Bob dylan if you were doing cart wheels ,i have seen you alot in concert this is a delightful song ,thank you if you like Bob Dylan be my friend 😂
Sorry, this sounds just like the live version of this rare song, which I always liked. This doesn't sound remotely like a studio version, even given Dylan's studio habits. It might have been a soundcheck. Dylan wasn't known to do any recording in a studio in 1976, except for Clapton's sessions, or Ron Woods perhaps.
It's from a rehearsal at the Belleview Biltmore Hotel Clearwater, Florida on 17 April 1976. Played live but no audience, recorded through the live rig. Available on boot "The days before hard rain"
This song is a real curio. The only known Dylan song from '76. However, I dont think this is a studio recording. The song was only performed (and only a handful of times at that) in concert in '76, then dropped, revived briefly in '96, then dropped again.

Only voice that could sing these song with such meaning and power, let alone write it.

You are not the other one
Nor the ONLY ONE? ALRIGHT

Why isn’t this song more popular?
Thanks!
Dyan gave this song to Ronnie Wood who does agreat job with it 'Gimme Some Neck' album '78
No intelligent audiences anymore
Amazing what gems Dylan came up.
Well, he is a Gem-ini
The sign of the singer-songwriter

Hey man love your bass playing you da GOAT for real
El mejor compositor de la historia, único
Do not forget Van Morrison next to him!!!
Excellent
Thank you so much❤
1 of my favourite tracks from Bootleg Series Vol 1-3
Not the same track at all.
@@RichardStephens-r4d I meant it's 1of my favourite tracks from the first bootleg series

Pity this isn't on an album. I like it. A lot. Love the piano.
It's on the Bootleg Series 1-3.

Completely different version, slower , the lyrics clearer, it’s great!

he may have made this as a demo version because he wanted Clapton to cover it. Clapton rejected the song but Woods covered it.
Well, I think I agree. Whatever - this is really the only Dylan version of this great song, is it not?@@robertanderson145
@@threeleggedmanInteresting! I was unsure of the origin.
Classic.
I mean most of my literature i read, it so good to know that reading iza identical to reading

...all i gotta do is Survive!
GREAT song! I can always picture Ronnie when I hear it...didnt he do it for Bob's Anniversary Tribute?
He did. And that version is one of my top ten songs.....of all time.
yep, and Ronnie is terrible. Dylan's at his most dynamic performance and singing time during the mid 70s
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ wonderful song
seven days
❤❤❤
I like the bootleg better.
This obviously isnt a studio recording. This is just the live recording with some weird stuff going on
Sounds like a soundboard of the live Rolling Thunder performance right down to the lyric flubs. Audience noise filtered.
この頃が良い。🙄
Exactly my words...lol
On Ron Woods Give me some Neck lp he does a killer version of 7 days
Yeah, what’s the story on this being cut from Desire? I’d love to hear it.
The story is it was not played nor recorded during Desire sessions. See sessions list. There ain't no Bob's studio version at all.
This should be added as an extra track , the next time DESIRE is remixed or repackaged ...
is there not a problem with the sound here? distorted somehow...Is this not the bootleg series version, slightly damaged?
+ neandertal effect???.....uurgh!
これはライブではないですかー?
TBS version is a much better performance.
Not for me Dog
