I'm 82 and if I lost 100 lbs I'd weigh 34 lbs !

Happy Birthday Otis's I grew up in Southern Indiana in the 60's.and 70's. I started playing bass in 70 and connected with the Toler Brothers and some other great but unknown musicians. The Allmans and specially Dickie was our hero's, love hearing these stories. By the way I'm 70 and still gigging in the great NW. Keep up the good work, brings back some great old memories..
“Dangerous” Dan Toler!!
Saw him BURNIN’ UP the fretboard as part of Gregg Allman’s band at a show in the late 80s, well before the Allmans reunited. He played a Les Paul through a Kitty Hawk amp and just simply burned it up that night. The gig happened on the back deck of the LaVela Beach Club, on Panama City Beach Florida.

I also knew Danny & Frankie( David) Toler..I now live in Paoli Indiana but from Nashville & Daytona & met them thu Gregg in 81...I miss those guys & they used to play on my a few of my demos..Dangerous Dan was called that for a reason..The cat could really play...RIP 🍑

I have (had) his first solo album with Vassar Clemens. Also there is a brief connection to Dylan. I did one of his album covers. “Knocked Out Loaded” in ‘86..

Just caught up to this video on March 3 here in Taiwan. I love Bob Dylan as well as the Allman Brothers. So stories about Bob and Dickey are cool. I wish you a belated happy birthday, Otis. Super Bowl Sunday was also my second son's birthday. I told him that it was damn nice of the NFL to throw a party for him. I hope you had a creatively good day. I watched the game on my phone while being driven around in the central Taiwan mountains. My team lost, but who cares when you can take a hike amongst tea plantations and forests. Please keep up the good work and take care. ✌️

I love your stories and those of all your friends/guests. I love your plain spoken, down to earth, approach to the music business and your humanizing of the people we see up on stage. I love your everlasting enthusiasm for your craft and the musicians who mean something to you, and it is absolutely contagious. Whenever I hear new details about the people who made the music I love, I make a point of going back to relisten with fresh ears, bearing in mind the latest stories I’ve heard.
