我之前拍的视频说: Chinese 仅仅是一个形容词....是不对.
中国人(人群): Chinese (名词)
中文: Chinese (名词)
BUT!!!! Any nationality that ends with -ese, such as Japanese, Vietnamese, or Portuguese, is not used as a singular noun in modern English.
10. 我想跟你交朋友是不是I want to make friends with you？我想交个女朋友是不是I want to make a girlfriend？
Correct examples:I’ve made many good friends in China.
I hope I make some new friends when I travel next week.
我想跟你交朋友最地道翻译:
We should hang out sometime.
I hope we can get to know each other better.
If you have some free time, maybe we can hang out.
我想交个女朋友最地道翻译:
I’ve got a girlfriend now.
I’ve met the girl of my dreams last night.
I met a girl.
9. Hiking is so tired! 爬山真的很累!
‘Tired’ is a transitive verb, when we talk about abstract things we should use ‘tiring’, not tired. You can say “I’m so tired”, but because ‘hiking’ has no ‘feelings’ it cannot feel tired.
“I’m so tired.” Yes!
“Running is so tired.” No!
8. ‘怎么样’是不是’How about it?’
How about your new job? 没有动词
Your new job, how about it? 没有动词
We need to add a verb to make these sentences complete, usually the verb ‘to be’ or ‘is’.
最地道翻译: How is your new job? How is your new job going?
You don’t need to use a verb if your are replying to someone:
A: How are you doing?
B: Pretty good, how about you?
A: Do you want to go watch a movie with me?
B: How about we go swimming instead?
7. 换一个 是不是 change a new one?
最地道翻译:
I’d like to get a new one.
I’d like to exchange this for another one.
Could I get a new one please?
Can I have another one?
6. Ivanka is so fashion! NO!!! Ivanka is so fashionable!
Fashion is a noun, fashionable is an adjective.
5. 让: 到底是let还是make?
The teacher let us to do a lot of homework today. 对还是不对？
‘让’两个翻译：
允许: allow, permit
强迫: make, force
The teacher made us to a lot of homework today.
The teacher let us leave class early.
4. Nice to meet you. VS Nice to see you.
You ‘meet’ someone the first time you see them. You ‘see’ someone when you’ve already met them.
You can still say “Let’s meet for dinner” with your close friends, but just don't tell them “nice to meet you.”
3. With you together….
Oh, you’re going? I’ll go with you together.
‘With’ and ‘together’ have the same meaning in many situations. So it sounds best to say:
Oh, you’re going? I’ll go with you. OR Let’s go together.
You don’t need to say both “with” and “together” to express what you want to say.
2. 完:Play
I want to play with you.
This sounds SO strange in English! Unless you are ‘playing’ a sport, only small children ‘play’ together.
最地道翻译: Let’s hang out.
1. ‘我先走了’ 是不是 I’ll go first???
We don’t ever use this saying in English.
最地道翻译:
I need to go now.
Sorry, I need to leave.
I’m going, bye bye.

I'll go first 要用在特定的语境下，比如轮流上台表演，别人问who wants to go first? （谁先来？）你可以回答I’ll go first （我先来！），但并不是“我先走了，你们继续聊”的意思。
这些错误用法真的超级常见，要不是Mike说了我根本意识不到

麦克老师，英语有I will go first这个说法，只是不在视频里这个情况下而已。比如两个人一起排队同时排到了，不知道谁先走，一个人可以和另外一个人说" alright I will go first".

有没有不用记住语法，就背句子，和单词？然后用的时候直接把单词换了，这样学习可以吗？麦克老师
第一期和第二期提到了两个词，boring/bored和tiring/tired，是不是同一个语法现象？动词的现在分词用来形容事物，动词的过去分词用来形容人。

Cpl. Dunn: （装甲车）里面的人怎么办？
Sgt. Foley: 管他们呢。（爱咋办咋办，凉拌，甭管他们）
So, what Cpl. Dunn said is a 回答...

feel是普通動詞前面要加助動詞，所以應該是do you feel tired

Hi, Mike, I think you made a mistake in this video. When taking this sentence "I want to make a friend with you", you referred to "a friend" as an indirect object and "you" as a direct object. Actually, "a friend " is the indirect object and "you" the indirect object. Thanks!

her是她的，形容词性物主代词，后面要跟名词的，比如her books，hers是名词性物主代词，当成名词用就行，但是前面不能跟冠词诸如a/an这些
