A modern blues harmonica piece by a modern blues harmonica player that I really admire. Here is a link to the video lesson from @indiarasfair : • Indiara Sfair & Arthur...
My friend, you nailed it for certain. I too admire Indiara Sfair and this song by her. Obviously you put the work into it and matched her skill in performing this beautiful song! Bravo!!
Fantastic. Indiara is a sweet lady. Had a great time with her hanging out in 2017. She came out to chicago and busked with my street band and we went some good jams.
Congratulations!! Perfect cover. I have two questions that I would love you to answer me: 1) what embochure are you using in this song, tongue blocking or puckering? 2) while you are playing, what do you think to remember the song: TABs or the name of the notes? Thank you very much for sharing
I use tongue block all the time, although I think that piece is also easily achievable with pucker. One only really needs TB for the couple of actaves played by the end of the tune, but I guess those can be substituted with sungle notes as well. For all of the tunes that I play I rely entirely on muscle memory. After a lot of repetitions it just "happens" and I can't really explain it. It feels like a meditative state or q multitasking if you will where your body does one thing and your mind is free and allows you to be present and pay attention to the surrounding environment. So to me the secret is: Repetition, repetition, repetition...
Coming from the classical world, it's impossible for me to get out of thinking in notes, but I think I can imagine what you're saying. One last question: what embouchure would you recommend for a beginner to start with? Thanks in advance!
@@UsueZapata If you are interested in Blues then 100% tongue blocking. All the great players tongue blocked, some of them puckered in addition. There is only one articulation that you cannot do tongue blocking and 100 articulations you cannot do puckering. Later on when you are proficient at tongue blocking you could add pucker to your arsenal...but not before.
Hearing this performed by Indiara 3 weeks ago is what made me pick up a harp for the first time. I've a long way yto go to get to this standard... Very well done. Are you using a Bb?
Bb Hohner special 20 with flat sanded draw plate, bluemoon harmonicas comb, embossed (by myself) reeds and open back coverplates and compromised just tunning😊
Es la mejor interpretación que escuché de la obra autentica "Improvisatión en C menor de Indiara Sfair". Verdaderamente muy buen trabajo. Es el resultado de muchas prácticas. Ésto fue magnífico. Felicitaciones
@@Joao_2805 My goal is to do 2 hours every day and I try to follow it as much as possible. Ofc I have missed many days for various reasons, but I do my best to follow this schedule.
