    I find it mind blowing that doctors and the drug makers of Zyrtec (Cetirizine) never mention the "Citirizine Withdrawl". The main symptom is this insane extreme itchiness when you stop taking Zyrtec! It is so bad for some that they are forced for go back to taking Zyrtec and they are addicted for life. I had to stop cold turkey because of an upcoming allergy test but after 30 hours or so, my scalp started to itch like I have never experienced before (I use dandruff shampoo so my scalp is clean and not itchy usually). Luckily, itchiness in other parts of my body were bearable but I know of plenty of others who has had (and still have) insanly itchy skin conditions. DO NOT START ON ZYRTEC!!! Take anything else you can think of BUT NOT ZYRTEC!!!

    Great video. Could you tell the main difference between Cetirizine and Loratadine?

      From my experiences Zyrtec is stronger and longer lasting than Claritin. Claritin is for milder allergies but safer than Zyrtec and Benadryl. Benadryl is the worst one. 😮

    I started taking Zyrtec 3 days ago. It makes me sleepy after about 1 hour of ingesting. I have noticed though that after about 12 hours of taking it I start to feel very weak and fatigued like I’ve been drugged which usually goes away once I’m close to the 24 hour make. Im just going to stop taking it and find something else.

      This is exactly how I've been feeling for the last 2 days... I tried using Zyrtec for the first time the other day it seem like it works but my side effects make me feel sleepy and drugged at different times of the day.... I thought I was getting sicker but its the medicine 😔 Did you find something better ??

      That is definitely a side effect of the zyrtec. I am on it and believe it or not I don't experience the tireness. I feel like I have the opposite effects with meds lol.. Allegra is a really good antihistamine. It no longer works for me but if you guys are looking for a good antihistamine I would say i really liked that one. I was very tired on it but like i said. I get the opposite effects since that is suppose to be non drowsy. Just make sure you don't take the allegra d.. Take regular allegra cause the D will make you feel wired and speedy.

    Please could you advise on long term use of cetirizine or zyrtec? Yes it works wonderfully, but I think it makes your body dependent on it.I am currently trying to stop taking it but I get an unbearable physical response in the form of skin itching, irritation, and some hives. I took it for seasonal allergies to begin with, these symptoms that are happening I did not have before. I am desperate for help, but also, do not promote this drug.

    • @RevampEmily
      @RevampEmily 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I been doing a lot of research on this drug and I too am currently taking it. I also feel like our bodies will become dependent on any drug we use. I use to take allegra for 10 years and i started to eventually react to it.. Or it just stopped working for me. Then I started using Zyrtec. From what I have read, if you come off of zyrtec you will get bad withdrawals from it. (itching, hives) etc.. So it's best to replace your zyrtec with another allergy medication such as allegra or claritin so you wont experience the withdrawal.

    Nice one, watching my hives inflammation fade day after day until they completely vanished was such a relief, I went with what I pointed out and within the first 10 days or so the urticaria was barely visible! I just go'ogled the latest by Shane Zormander and after 20 days my skin has never been healthier!

      If you are positive it is the cetirizine causing the pain, then it will not be a bad idea to try something else.

    I have taken Zyrtec not every day but like 2-3 a week this past 2 week because of my allergies. Today I took one then hopped in the shower then noticed some itchy bumps on my hands and forearms. It’s been about 1 hour since I noticed them and it looks like they’re going away. This is my last time taking that medicine. Does anyone recommend any other allergy medication that won’t cause this?
