As a very expirienced shrimp breeder over 20 years now, i absoluteley agree with you. Dont scare about to reset a tank. dont think too much and reset when everything is weird. And always have backup tanks. Second big rule is, dont feed your shrimps, feed the bacteria and build biofilm. Biofilm, Biofilm, Biofilm and then let them breed.
great video and love the content. it's quite informative, the black ninjas look awesome, i've never seen them in real life before but will need to get some soon. i love how you showed the setup of the tank! can't wait till next video!
It is what the white ball produce. Biofilm is everywhere in the tank just that when we have a lot of shrimps they tend to strip them off quickly and having biofilm supplement to ensure there always be sufficient going around.
The buffering capacity of the soil has depleted, pH rises reducing breeding cycles. Yes we throw away the soil. There are other uses to the exhausted soil but hasn't have much left for normal land plants but still something that can be use for other purposes.
Great video, and lots of helpfull instight. thank you🙂

Wow! Another great video, by the way is the moss planted in a pot or just setting on the substrate?
The mosses are just resting on the substrate. The clump of soil get too big and I have to remove them very often. Thanks for the kind words.
Thanks for sharing your Wonder video. May i ask what's biofilm?? What is it made up of? Is it the 'white' ball on the feeder tray? Thanks!

Hi for what reasons may you reset the tank? You mention this a lot so I think it seems important. Do you throw away the old soil?
The buffering capacity of the soil has depleted, pH rises reducing breeding cycles. Yes we throw away the soil.
There are other uses to the exhausted soil but hasn't have much left for normal land plants but still something that can be use for other purposes.
What size your tank?
