I love my M&P 2.0 10mm with no safety lever and a 4.625 inch long barrel. I have invested in mine by having it quad ported by Mag-Na-Port. Also installing a Holosun 508T on a C&H Precision aluminum mounting plate with stainless steel screws and blue loctite. Put optic height steel tritium X/S night sights on and had an Apex flat trigger of aluminum to replace the plastic trigger. May add a titanium guide rod for more weight and use a tactical light with a laser to be more effective.
That sounds like you have one very nice 10mm with all the add ons you installed!
I've run about 250 to 300 asssorted rounds through my Sig Xten in three magazines flawlessly. It's a fine weapon. I paid $799.00 for it. No regrets.

Fantastic review! You deserve more views. I’ve been looking at getting a 10 mm for the last six months or so. From handling the different guns and researching it seems like the XDM elite is the best overall. Lots of new gun fanatics obsessing over the X 10 and the FN not that these are bad guns at all. I just think people let their excitement of something new overwhelm their logic sometimes lol.

@@pewpewswithmr.x just narrowly missed purchasing the gear up package at sportsman’s warehouse a few days back. Should have done it. . . 6 mags and the gun for 600 from a box store is pretty good. I will be keeping an eye out for it. Thinking of a Kenai chest holster because I will be wearing a pack with it. Also, Talons seem like they would be helpful. Thoughts on holsters/accessories? I live in Anchorage.

Talon grips would be perfect and I think The holster you picked should be just fine.
Great honest review. I just went and pulled my 10mm 3.8" XDME compact out to try the left handed slide release and found it to be a little harder for me but doable. I am right handed and my right thumb is stronger than my left thunb. Springfield, judging by all of the reviews i've watched, seems to have a stronger spring in it. Thus being able to cycle hotter ammunition easier? Other guns have trouble cycling hotter ammo because of weak springs in the mags or weaker slide spring. Which may be the reason that its tougher to work the slide on the Springfield. All of these things i've picked up by watching other reviews and not by experience. But i think S & W and Sig just need to work out a bug or two. Again, thanks for the review.

I love my springfield 10mm osp 4.5 $549 with 6 mags
Good video. I just tried the left handed release on mine with no problems. Maybe just that one. I also saw that your springfield didn't have the two clicks on the reset. Thats the only thing I would change on mine. 2 clicks to reset is just weird. Lol my friend has the sig 10mm I've shot it too and it's a great gun.

The Smith & Wesson has the best grip out of all 3 but the Springfield I like I just bought the Springfield XDM 10mm in the FDE finish

I own a xdm elite 3.8 10mm and i love it. Im right handed qnd it doesn't bother me. I use gun oil and worked on getting the magazine to release faster. I did get rid of the 10 round magazine for 15 round magazine.

I added Springer Precision extra power springs to all of my M&P mags as the original springs wouldn't feed full power (Buffalo Bore, Underwood) loads. I also added a 24 lb recoil spring and stainless guide rod. It now functions flawlessly with everything I feed it. My XDm Elite functioned flawlessly out of the box, as does my Glock. I like shooting the Smith the most.

You can't release the slide release with your left thumb because your not left handed. It's like telling a major league baseball pitch who is right handed to throw a 90 mph strike with their left arm, it's just not going to happen. The M&P is the same I have the M&P 9mm and I can't release the slide with my left thumb only my right. With all that being said it is hard to do on the left side but I believe it will wear in and get easy if you keep using the left side

I would say the S&W but they all are adjustable. I always recommend that people try to find gun shops with the guns they are interested in and see how it fits in their hands! The downside to the sig is you have to buy a whole new lower grip module to get it smaller vs the other two everything you need comes with the gun when you buy. I love the m&p10mm it's a great tool.
I agree that it’s a nice gun! It does have more Felt recoil than the other two. I like the way the Smith and Wesson feels in the hand more than the other two though. I just wish it had less felt recoil like the other two. Until next time and thank you for watching!
I love the long grip on the XDM ELITE but curious about Xten but the grip seems short

Basically I was just saying I have a P320. I like the way it looks and shoots. I got the base model but recently added night sights.
For my next gun, I actually am trying decide between 2. The Springfield XDM Elite OSP or the Taurus G3 Tactical.
I used to have a Taurus G2C which was super nice and reliable. That G3 Tactical looks like the most top of the line Taurus available.
Then I really like that XDM Elite OSP. It looks like it's the most top of the line XD available.
Basically if I get one of these guns, I'm going to upgrade it to the moon. This will be one I keep on my night stand

I was wondering about thickness, length, how they are implemented (are they part of the fcu, part of the grip frame, frame inserts)?
Will the xdm elite fire hardcast ammo with no issues?
Have the X-TEN, S&W M&P Performance Center, and the Springfield Elite 3.8. Not a single problem with either 10mm. I did send the Springfield back for accuracy check. It wasn't grouping worth a damn from 20 yards in. Mighta been me, but I wanna be sure one way or another.
Manual safeties on semiautomatic pistols don't bother me any in the least bit. But then I'm not a TH-cam wannabe special ops commando, or an urban S.W.A.T team video game fantasy guy. They serve a very practical purpose for the average armed responsible citizen, who respects, and knows how to use them!
They don't really bother me much either, but if someone does have a safety they should practice clicking it off/on every time they shoot! Then they can build up that muscle memory with the safety, so you don't mess up when you are in fighter flight mode with a bad guy! If I had to pick today I’d pick the XDM. I need more time with the SIG X-Ten before I can officially say I like it more or less then the XDM. These two are my favorite to shoot hands down. I’m gonna get more time with the X-ten this weekend and finish my review, shoot and clean with this gun! I’m excited to get that video edited and ready to go sometime next week. I'm fixing to buy either a Springfield or a Sig xTen endure.. What do you think overall is the best for accuracy and value..i don't mind paying more for the Sig but if the Springfield is equivalent which would you choose,?
I like the Springfield XDM the best over the sig and S&W 10mm. Springfield has a load out sale every once in awhile where you get extra mags and a range bag with the gun. That’s the best value and the XDM is more comfortable to shoot for me. Accuracy is very impressive and the best of all 3. The one thing I don’t like, but hasn’t been an issue like I thought it would? Is on the back side of the slide there is a pretty big gap and it’s like that for slide take down. If you ever have any more questions don’t hesitate to ask? I had a m and p 40cal. The rod that runs inside the grip next to the clip was not springy. So the the release was not reliable. I bent it back and works great. I have a glock 29, thinking about something new. Might just stuck with the m and p.
The only thing I can recommend for you is if you are interested in buying a new gun? Try and find a gun shop where you can rent a couple of your potential picks and go from there. Good luck and I hope you stay in contact & thank you for watching!
I would be interested if you included Tanfoglio (derivative of CZ) who make all steel and steel-composite 10 mm even in a carry size.

That is a pretty cool gun and the CZ platform is great for creating a flat shooting handgun! I have the Tanfoglio Defiant Stock Master in 10mm and it’s one of my most accurate pistols. I also have 2 HK P30’s, in 9mm, and a Wilson Combat Beretta Brigadier 9mm as well. The Tanfoglio just soaks up the recoil and it’s almost nonexistent.

Most 10 mm are fat and heavy. Yes they are built that way because of the high pressure rounds. I understand that reason. As for me they are built for outside carry , usually for large animal defense. I would like to see a 10 mm maybe like a Glock 36 single stack for concealed carry. I checked out the G 36 and the barrel of a G 29. The 45 cal barrel outside diameter is maybe 1 or 2 thousands smaller than the G 29 10 mm barrel. The 10 mm barrel will not go thru the G36 slide, but is close. The 10 mm cartridge will fit in the G 36 magazine. Of course the feed lip is for a 45. The G36 mag would work if feed lip was for a 10 mm. Any way I would like to see a flat slide with forward serrations, optic ready for a Holosun 407 or similar without adapter plate. Also maybe a 7 or 8 round mag, and steal nite sites high enough to co witness. Also I want regular rifling not polygonal rifling. Don't want a bunch of stuff sticking out. Thats one reason I like Glocks. Also have a low bore axis. Thats all I want I think ?

Just sold my Xten because of the mag issues and bought an XDM Elite 10mm
When did your mags start causing issues? It seems like not everyone has them, because mine are working just fine right now. I love my XDM, but I have read that people are having issues with the tang Safety failing and the gun won’t shoot. @PewpewswithMr.X it was immediately. Mag spring would bind up and not feed ammo. I could pull the mag out and tip it upside-down, and all the ammo would fall out of the mag. I tried multiple different types and brands of ammunition. Ended up using Sellier&Bellot ammunition with better success, but I was still having issues after putting 2000 rounds through it. I harvested a decent 9 point at 19 yards and a 500 lb hog at 37 yards with the XTen. It was deadly accurate but didn't like to feed reliably. I considered buying more mags, but at $60 each, I didn't feel too confident about buying more and possibly having the same issues. Got a new XDM Elite with 3 mags and a HEX Dragonfly red dot on it for less than I paid for the XTen and 2 unreliable mags. I still love my Sig P365XL for EDC!

@@pewpewswithmr.x all the mags seem to be inherent to this problem on some level. Some worse than others. I think the mag tubes are too small to accommodate long and/or wide nose rounds. I also wonder if the followers play a role in the varying degrees to which the mags fail. I’ve been loading mine at OAL of ~1.245 with XTPs. They seem to have a pretty narrow nose for a hollow point.

Between the 3 handguns what feels best for small handed folks out there?
All three work for my average hand size for a male & they are all adjustable! I recommend you try all 3 & go find them at a store to check out! The downside to the SIG is to adjust it you need to buy a whole new grip module. Some people like that, because then they can customize their gun to their liking. The biggest thing you will wanna look for is grip/ fit of the guns to your hand and can your thumb reach the slide release better on one than another? Springfield xdm elite and Glock 20 are the most reliable 10mm I've had I've had the m&p and the sig and those two had trouble with certain ammo especially full power 10mm loads like underwood extreme penetrators. Also mine and a buddy of mines mags kept falling out of the smith and Wesson and multiple people shot both and we were not hitting the mag release. Wouldn't depend on it for my life.
I decided to sell my Smith and Sig for the same reasons. I’ve had friends/ family recommended me getting a 1911 10mms because they all have had great success/ reliability with the 1911 10mm designed guns. I hope you stay in contact and Subscribe. Until next time and Thank you for Watching!

That would suck, but the gun is very impressive! I’m gonna mount a red dot on mine soon and try and find a flared mag well with new mag baseplates to hopefully fix the tightness of the 15th round when loading up the mags.
